Dummy

Anyone else’s toddler still have a dummy? She only has it for bed/ nap times and is really attached to it. We’ve just been though a rough few months of waking through the night so I’m scared to get rid of it just yet but also feel guilty that she has it!

My little boy still has one, we tried giving it to the Easter bunny and we only lasted 3 days without it until he had it back again 🤦‍♀️ He’s so attached to it still for sleep and if he’s upset to regulate his emotions. I also have a baby who has a dummy, so it’s hard. I’m going to try again soon to encourage him to not have it anymore, but at the moment I don’t want to make my days harder than they already can be with 2 little ones. I also feel guilty that he still has it, but I’m sure lots of people are in the same situation x

We got rid of our boys entirely at 1 year old on the dot but he didn’t really care for it during the day then at night we removed it and he was bothered for a few days but quickly gave in x

My son has been a rubbish sleeper from day 1 and still is but we found the dummy made it worse because he kept spitting it out then getting upset when he woke without x

My little finds them, drives me crazy when she talks with it in, I need better hiding places for them. But trying to just have for nap/bedtime. She needs it to go to sleep but if she wakes without during the night she tries to find it but is not too bothered if she can't.

Mine does, she loves it and is so attached. There's going to be loads of opinions on it but I'm really not bothered that my lo still uses a dummy ♡ It's one of her only comforts and I just think what's the harm- her teeth are fine and her talking is fine xx

Mine just grew out of it naturally a few weeks back (3 in July) but yours may not. all are different x

Crazy hair tips

My little boy (white/black Caribbean) has almost two hair textures, he has quite loose soft curls at the front but then an almost Afro texture in the back which goes wild. I use the only curls products for kids (shampoo, conditioner, detangle spray and styler) but after he sleeps it just goes crazy. It’s super knotty at the back so he doesn’t tolerate any brushing/combing - I only just manage with a fight when it’s wet.

Any tips on handling the back section? Heavy products don’t seem to work well given how soft it is in the front.

Baby doll

Anyone get their son a baby doll? Did they love it?
Thinking of getting mine one for christmas as he's gravitated towards one a couple of times at a toddler group. For context my son will be 18 months, nearly 19 months at Christmas.

Refusing nap at age2 help!

My little one is 2y 2m old. She has just all of a sudden stopped napping. Nursery told me they spend half hour with her and she won't sleep and same at home. I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

CMPA? (Photo)

My baby is really congested overnight. She’s always congested - but particularly more snorty after a bottle of Kendamil. She’s primarily breast fed with one bottle of formula a day in the afternoon. Her poops are also explosive and look like this. Does this look like CMPA, so sorry for the photo! Two first poops from two different mornings. Will add the second to the comments.

Travelling with a 1 year old

Can I put a car seat in the front passenger seat for travelling with my baby?! He hates the car and just cries if he’s in the back by himself. I have family 4 hours drive away and I have to do the travel alone most of the time. It’s so stressful and exhausting trying to entertain him and I can’t just let him cry. How do you travel with a baby who hates the car? 😩

14 w/o slept for 15 hrs?

She’s 14 weeks. Yesterday we decided to try putting her to bed at 8pm (she usually just comes with us at around 10/11). So we bathed, boobed and transferred to bed by 8. We kept the room dark and she slept there for an hour before waking up. I then took her back with me but she continued sleeping until 11. Woke up at 11, had her nappy changed. All happy as can be. Then slept until 3. Breastfed. Nappy changed at 5. Breastfed. Slept until 7, breastfed. Still asleep now at 11am?

Is this normal? She’s still having wet nappies, feeding, etc. should I wake her? She started trying to roll to her front yesterday, so idk if she’s just tired from the workout 😅
