Im curious for those who opted into c-sections why? Was there any benifits you found or do you wish you didnt ? (Not speaking about advisory ones due to babys or mothers health or emergency ones as i understand them)

I went for elective c-section because I had GD and was told my baby needed to come out at week 38. Everyone I know with GD ended up having an induction followed by an emergency c-section. And I mean everyone. So I opted to skip the induction. I wish I could have just had it all happen spontaneously when he was ready and tried for vaginal, but the risk of a still birth was too high. My baby’s health was more important than the “pride” of pushing.

I’ve elected for two and loved them both. My family has had awful birth trauma (affecting the mothers and the babies including me as a newborn), I didn’t want that for myself or my baby. My obstetrician had zero issues, she and the midwife were also elective mums.
If I have a third baby, it’s another elective for me 😊
