Advice pleasee

If you had a csection and asked in-laws not to visit for first two weeks (because they live in a different country and would need to stay over), and your sister in laws turned up at your door uninvited TWO days after surgery, how would you react?
My husband hasn't spoken to me in 3 days because he thinks I'm over reacting. Three days of pp on my own.

If I told them and my husband the plan not to come and they ignored it or attempted excuses I'd be pretty disappointed if they all ignored a simple request. I'm 3 days PP after vaginally birth and can't imagine doing it on my own let alone after a c-section. If I were in your shoes I'd try and speak to your husband and ask him how to get over this hiccup and your baby and your wellbeing are top priority xxx wishing you all the best x

Do you actually work hard for what you have or does your job just pay you more money?

On the topic of families becoming unable to afford groceries, someone said that they don't care about anyone struggling or hungry because they simply worked hard for the food they have.

Unless that person has a job in agriculture or food production then they didn't actually work hard for their groceries. They worked hard for a paycheck and used it to buy food. Other workers are the ones who created that food and provided it to the grocery stores for our convenience and accessibility.

Imagine if those workers just decided they didn't care about us anymore? You can't eat money.

Today my kids locked my bedroom door and closed it and I haven’t been able to open it, I held my baby above me to check his mouth and he vomited directly into my face, also my kids dad skipped the call again

I didn’t mention that the kids dad was supposed to call or not but my oldest asked what day it was, I said Sunday and he knows that’s the call day. Shortly after he knew it was Sunday he came behind me and punched me in the back and I asked what was going on if h had any feelings he wanted to talk about or if something was bothering him. He said no. Then he threw something at my head. I’m tryin to provide him with some reassurance and support and special connection. We’re gunna bake banana bread later.

But today’s f-ing hard. Wanna scream into the void.

Hey I just need help with what I'm going to do with my boyfriend

he’s not showing me attention anymore. He said he’s busy. He’s just not putting an effort anymore and I don’t know what to do and I shouldn’t have the beg for his attention. What should I do?

New SAHM having issues relating

I’m having the best time the 1st year of motherhood and I cannot relate to 95% of other moms to the point it’s making it hard for me to make new mom friends. I used to work 60-80 hours in corporate finance so this is the lowest stress I’ve had in years. I basically spend my days outside exercising with my baby and doing a ton of stuff like farmers markets, swim lessons, playgrounds, street festivals, museums, restaurants, baseball games. We are very clean and organized but we live in an apartment so it only takes me about an hour a day and a 2 hour deep clean every Sunday to keep our home together. I’ve worked hard exercising the last few years to lose about 40lbs so I also feel great physically. Many moms I meet instantly ask me if I’m also “lonely at home” or how I feel about new body and I feel like no matter what I say, it makes me sound like an asshole. I really want to encourage them to come outside with me but they immediately say it’s too hard. I think I just need to work harder to find some moms who are doing the same things I am, but I also feel guilt essentially not wanting to be friends with nice people who are having a hard time adjusting. I want to make some new mom friends because I’m also not relating to old my friends because most of them don’t have kids. Is anyone else having this problem?

I need to vent

I’m happily married and my husband is an amazing dad but he works a lot, leaves as soon as we wake up and gets home after she’s in bed. His days off are Sunday & Monday, I work Monday so he has our daughter while I’m gone. This leaves only Sunday to do family stuff, go to church & have some alone time for myself. That being said, I don’t actually get my alone time but my husband does, he doesn’t understand that I’m needed 24/7 even in my sleep bc I’m exclusively breastfeeding. I need a few hours of autonomy where I can have me time that isn’t at night when my daughter goes to bed. Last night was Pascha so we were up late and my husband wanted to go to 11am vespers, it’s now almost 4pm and I feel guilty for asking him to come home but he gets to do whatever he wants… what about me??? When do I get to do what I want? When do I get to have hobbies?? I love my daughter and love being with her all day but I still want to not be needed for a few hours.
