Quiet

My partner,my youngest's dad, has been silent most of today and I have been stressed most of today because I feel like the silence is him talking to the woman he said he stopped talking to. He hasn't shown me so I can't say I fully believe him because he's lied 1 too many times. And I've told him I need to see for myself but he just gets quiet and I swear he thinks I'll just drop it if he changes the subject. I told him I need reassurance for him to show me but he acts like he doesn't hear me or if he does hear me he says I know with a soft tone but then does nothing. I'm legit so confused with him,he confuses me and my migraines are back to full capacity I feel like I never know if hes really for me or not...

So why are you still with him? This doesn’t seem like a confusing situation at all to me

Wonderful memories and love don’t outweigh blatant disrespect. You say he’s lied and been shady before, do you want your kids thinking it’s normal for a man to treat a woman like that? No way would I let my boys think that’s any way to treat a woman.

I get it can be confusing and painful, however as much as it hurts, you probably deserve someone that actually validates your feelings. If there is someone else, and you gave him the opportunity to change and yet he stills makes you feel like he isn’t there for you, I strongly believe you should consider to leave that relationship for your own good, because even if you loved him so much, someone that loves you the same way wouldn’t make you feel like that specially after you made clear how you feel. I’ve always say that if you have already communicated that smth is hurting and yet, the other person chooses not to change… then they are hurting you in purpose

Daycare/Nannies

How are you guys handling having to send your kids to daycare or having a nanny?
I’m a first time mom and I’m terrified of anyone watching her but me. My daughter will be four months when I go back to work but with how the world is today and all the viruses and sicknesses I just don’t trust anyone.

Question only for non-UK based mums

I’m Belgian but lives the UK. Everyone around me is taking a week off of work to potty train their child.
As in, they’re using a week of precious annual leave for this, and then they don’t leave the house for days, quite literally locking themselves inside with their kid bum-naked, and « potty train ».
NO ONE does that where I come from. Potty training is seen as a longer, more organic process.

If you’re not British, can you say whether most people take days off to do potty training where you come from / where you live?

Whelp

Well yesterday was my last straw... I woke up in the middle of the night to him telling our TWO MONTH OLD daughter to “shut the fuck up” because she was crying. I had barely gotten two hours of sleep myself so I got up and took her.

Later that morning I asked him to take her so I could get some sleep. He did but then crawled into bed and laid her between us. I rolled over because I was exhausted and he took her to the couch and said “Mom doesn't care.”

I rolled over looked at him and told him I wanted a divorce. I'm tired of being treated the way I am and I'm tired of putting up with it. And then he told ME to get out.

Soooo now I'm single momming it with my two month old daughter and living on my sister's couch. What a fucking time to be alive. 🙃

Anybody else have family around them but it’s like what’s the point?

I just need to get this off my chest. I bought dinner tonight for my family (siblings and mom) (*my husband is out of the country rn so it’s just me and my kids 🥺*) I have 2 under 2 (a 2 month old) and everyone’s eating except me because I’m changing a diaper. While I’m changing my 1 YO diaper my 2 month old starts screaming his head off in the bouncer. Nobody, NOBODY got up and picked my baby up KNOWING my hands were full. I almost cried in front of everyone. I didn’t even eat because of how pissed I was. After I finished changing the diaper, I picked my screaming 2 month old baby up and fed him and as SOON as he unlatched I gathered my 3 kids and got the hell out of there. Am I being too sensitive? There were 5 adults there, FIVE! 3 siblings, an in-law and my mother. Not one bothered to pick my screaming baby up 😭😭😭💔💔💔 I feel so alone. I feel like no one cares about me or how much I’m struggling right now.

We’re having trouble with tv addiction.

Any ideas on what tangible things I can do to help my child? Thanks
