Bed guards

My 4 y/o is now in a single bed, how many of you use bed guards? I'm so worried he'll fall out.

My daughter once fell out but got right back in afterwards, we’ve never used a bed guard and she’s in a kids single x

My 3y in a single normal bed

My daughter had one but was for a short time just to get used to it x

My son has been in a low double bed since about age 2. As it is very low I don't use bed guards. He also has enough space to move around

My daughter was 4 last week, we use one just because when she fell out of bed once it woke her up so much she didnt go back to sleep for 3 hours 🙈😅

My daughter has been in a single bed for a while now and we don't use the guard as when we felt it was just going to be an issue further down the line when she was older, she does have a fluffy rug beside her bed and she's only fell out a few times and landed on the rug but she's hasn't fallen out for months now

I was using a travel bed guard and have only just stopped using it. Put a duvet down on the floor if you are worried?

Have pampers changed

I had a nappy raffle at my baby shower and have loads of nappy’s but the ones on the left are what I’ve found best and I am running low on them. They are elastic around the front and back unlike the ones on the left I’ve opened 3 more packs of pampers and they are all like the ones on the right. Have they changed or are they a specific style/name

How many feeds is baby having overnight?

Baby is nearly 7 weeks old. He tends to fall asleep downstairs on one of us around 8pm, then when we go up to bed around 10-11pm we give a bottle of formula.

He then sleeps until around 2-3am when he wakes for a nappy change and a breastfeed. He will then go back down until around 5am when we do another change and breastfeed. At this point he gets quite fussy in the next to me so I tend to bring him into bed with me to get more sleep until 7-8am

Freezing hands at night!

Hello everyone,

What are we doing with our little one’s hands at night? Her nursery was at 18.5 degrees last night and she has a vest, a sleepsuit and her 2.5 tog sleeping bag but when she woke up this morning her little hands were freezing cold even tho her chest was warm!

I always feel extremely bad when I pick her up to cuddle in the morning and those little hands are freezing. I know some people are using the built in mittens of the sleepsuit but it doesn’t work for her because she self soothes during the night by sucking her hands so having them covered wouldn’t work for her!

Anyone else in this situation?

Trouble breastfeeding

I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding my little girl who’s now 4 and a half months old. During that time I’ve had mastitis twice. I’ve been prescribed antibiotics and strong painkillers. Every week there’s always a new lump in either one breast or both which causes me so much discomfort and pain. The area is sore, tender and very uncountable so breastfeeding can hurt. It also hurts to hold her close to my chest because of the lump. The other day I also had a blocked milk duct as there was a white dot on my nipple. I’ve seen the doctors and taken medicines but seems like there’s always a new lump appearing. The doctor mentioned to do hot and cold compresses as well which tbh doesn’t seem to help. I’m feeling quite down about it all and wonder if switching her to formula would be better for her and myself. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? I would appreciate any advice or tips. Thank you!

Diapers

I have a 20m old and a 2 month old. Both boys. My 20m old is in size 5 daytime and overnight diapers. My 2m is in size 1. What are we all doing to help with peeing through? Both children pee through their diapers at night (my 2m gets changed during his 3am feeding). I make sure both are always pointed down. do I need to go up a size? I’m at a loss.

Struggling to read cues

I'm a 1st time Mum and my boy is just over 4 weeks. I feel like I'm still struggling to read his cues. It feels like the time between me realising hes hungry and him having a full meltdown is 2 seconds. I feel awful every time he cries. Am I being too harsh on myself? Do babies just cry and its fine and I need to just relax. At what point did you feel like you knew what your baby wanted?
