Baby Constipation

Willing to try anything at this point if anyone has any suggestions 😩 my little guy who is 7 months old started having some issues with bowel movements approx. 3 weeks ago. His poops were becoming more firm and harder for him to get out. I ensure he drinks enough fluids, we do regular exercises & tummy massages, he’s on a probiotic and sees a chiropractor weekly.

I started giving him prunes and other fibrous foods, reducing any foods harder to digest which still did not help. After 2 weeks of him screaming in pain every time he tried to release anything, often disrupting his sleep, I took him to the doctor. They suggested restoralax and a suppository. The suppository helped him have a few good poops for 24 hrs and we are back to square one, if not worse 😔

Open to any tips before we go back to the doctor. He is so exhausted from not sleeping properly (as am I). My heart breaks seeing him in so much pain and not being able to offer anything other than comfort.

A trick my south asian mother in law taught me was to boil some fennel seeds in water, strain the mixture and feed baby the water from that. It’s a natural remedy to relieve tummy pain and opening the bowels. Has worked for me in the past. Hope it resolves soon for your baby - poor thing!

A friend of mine had the same problem and the doctor recommended having a few days without any solid food to see if that helped and it did help her x

Hi! My 6 month old has got into the habit of wanting to start the day at 5am instead of 6:30 - what is the best way to manage this?

Thank you!

Tell me...

I need to know all the secrets Mama especially those mamas who are over the age of 35. During postpartum did you have a problem with shedding like your hair constantly falling out or thinning? No matter what I do or take or anything my hair will not go back to being full again. I haven't had full hair since my second oldest daughter was born. I'm on birth control. I take prenatals I use anti thinning hair care system. I'm doing it all. I'm getting stressed out because this is crap. What are your go-to secrets now? I'm going to say this as a n FYI I have psoriasis on my scalp due to allergies so I need sensitive friendly

Crying on wake ups

My son is one year now & the last couple nights he wakes up crying or winging slightly but it doesn’t even last a minute and he’s straight back to sleep… then happy as anything when he wakes up… any ideas what this could be. He had his jabs on Friday but thankfully they went really well and hasn’t had signs apart from a temp on the Saturday. He’s done this once before too but it went away so I’m unsure as to what this could be

He doesn’t have milk through the night and very rarely poo’s through the night too.

Thanks!

Good baby

I just wanna see if there’s any mums who are actually having a good time with happy
Babies that sleep well. Eat well. Play well ?
I feel like I’m shamed in mum groups when I don’t share the same problems. I know we’re lucky. And we take each day as it comes. There’s been ups and downs but she is a happy baby who isn’t much trouble. But I’ll scared to say the truth in mum groups because they all look so judgey and cross that she’s just an easier baby than my friends. I don’t take it for granted. Like I said we take each day as it comes knowing our luck could run out but I’m tired of being shamed for it. I have a good baby. She sleeps 12 hrs at night without waking. She eats well. She’s so bright and meeting milestones early. She naps in the day and rarely scream cries.
Don’t get me wrong. The first few weeks were rough but I just wanna be able to share that she’s good I’m good and not feel shamed to share it.

Rapid cool

Can you use the rapid cool with the hot shot method?
New to all this… can you put a hot shot into the baby bottle, add the formula and then use the rapid cool with the remaining water? Or will it still make the bottle too hot as it’s got the hot shot in?
