I never used a swaddle or swaddle bag with my first. Didn't see the need

We loved the love to dream swaddle for our first and planning to use it for our second. When he was a NB I just swaddled him normally but he hated it hence I invested in the love to dream swaddle, with his arms up he was way more comfortable...

Have just bought the newborn size and another small do have a spare in a different tog rating. You can buy them on vinted second hand hut they are still quite expensive

When I had my first the midwives just tucked blankets under the babies arms and underneath the mattress so it was secure in the hospital so we just did the same and then a sleeping bag when he was a bit bigger x

Ftm but planning on using love to dream swaddles . I got one off vinted for hospital in a 1 tog as she will likely be in it once because the hospital is so warm just for ease so I don’t need to keep asking for help from the midwives for help

Bought two off vinted, but have some cellular blankets and a higher tog sleepsack too just incase. But the sleep sack is adjustable and can be either 0-2 months or 2-6, so will get use out of it regardless x

I have the snuzbag ones I think they are worth it as it has the zipper for nappy changes instead of opening the whole thing at night plus I am don’t want to keep disturbing the baby and make them fully awake when they don’t have to be

With my first i tried normal swaddle but once we got the love to dream she slept so much better! So will be using them again and then switching to bags when she can roll ☺️

Used love to dream with my first they’re expensive but he slept well in them, until around 4 months when we had to transition out due to him rolling x

With our first we used the Tommee Tippee swaddle sacks, which have button-up arm holes to give the swaddle effect but still allowing baby to move their arms, and we'll be using the same this time as well. Then when they start to roll you can just leave the arm holes unbuttoned.

Traveling by car

FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Tips for selling baby and maternity items?

I have lots of baby items (next to me, baby prep machine, monitor- all never used) to sell – what’s the best way to go about it? Any favourite platforms, tips for quick sales, or things I should avoid? Would love to hear your experiences!

Sleep

My LG (2.5) has always been a great sleeper. She still naps during the day, usually for anywhere between 1.5–3 hours, but lately she’s been fighting her naps and they’re getting later and later. But when shes gone, shes sparko!

We’ve had a few days recently where she hasn’t napped at all, and if she’s kept busy, she gets delirious by the end of the day before sleeping from 7pm–6am.

However, if we’re having a quieter day at home or I can’t get out, she might finally nap from 1–3pm. I try not to let her nap that late because it pushes bedtime back to around 10pm, but I also don’t want to keep her awake when she’s clearly exhausted, whinging and in need of sleep.

Does anyone have any tips for gently waking a toddler from a nap so they don’t sleep for so long? Or is it time to drop naps altogether? Alternatively, how can I get her back into the routine of napping from 12–2pm like she used to?

I know she obviously still needs the sleep, but our days are now starting at 5am, and I’m struggling to work out what’s best for her. I'm also aware the clocks go back soon which will fuck me even more. Shes up from 5/6am. She has so much energy and we play from the moment she opens her eyes till bedtime.

For context, I also have a 6-month-old who sleeps amazingly from 8pm–7am. This then means I sort my toddler out and have to wait upstairs until my baby wakes up as transporting her downstairs will wake her unnaturally.
