I’ve just had a phone call from a health visitor who I had the displeasure of meeting a couple of years ago after my daughter was born, to set up a visit prior to my twins being born next month.
When I asked what it was for she told me it’s to talk about things like safe sleeping, breastfeeding tips etc but it’s not my first rodeo and I’d really like to not have her telling me my cat is going to smell milk from my baby and suffocate her… like she did last time.
Does anyone know if I can decline these bull**** visits, has anyone else been offered one even though they already have a child?

Yes you can decline! I opted out of the service when my first born was 7 weeks old because the old bag was pissing me off 🤣
I’ll be telling them I’m not interested when the reach out after the twins are born aswell

Can you decline? I’ve got one coming Thursday and I feel like why you coming to my house to tell me things I need to?
What do they come for ?
Feel like there not a midwife, what does a person working for the government have to do with my future child and husband and house ?

You can decline/opt out
I haven’t been offered one this time around I would decline too if I’m offered one even if my HV was nice but don’t see the need for it with the seconde baby

I got a letter today sent on my mychart app and i was shocked because with my son when he was born i got a phone call telling me a time and date they'll be out and that was that were this time they want to meet me first but I have a 7 year old that needs school run and I haven't time to sit in and wait so there doing a phone call with me and this one sounds normal to me so im looking forward to meeting her in person one little one is born were if I got a vibe like my last one who was just ao bloody hyper and as a 21 year old mum all I can sum up what she was like its a nut job I dreaded her coming every time so getting some one who is actually normal im so glad as my face will tell it all before my mouth will lol

Hello!
I am struggling with my 20 months old. She’s amazing but when it’s time to go to sleep she just won’t sleep. Napping is almost impossible and bedtime is eternal. It takes me at least an hour to put her to sleep. If I am not literally next to her, she will cry and won’t stop until I come back (she can cry for 30 mins no problem and never get tired). Also she won’t allow my husband to put her to sleep.
I know this is my fault because I didn’t sleep training her correctly when I was supposed to but I keep trying everything and nothing works. Does anyone have any advice on how to teach her to fall asleep?
Thank you for your time!

So I just need to ask os Huckleberry worth paying for, I need help with my daughter, she has hit the four months stage and last night sent me to the edge, she took over an hour to get her to sleep, I had her asleep around six ISH on me went to transfer after half an hour, and she woke up, checked the app and she needed milk then she went back to sleep around eight ish on me, managed to transfer her to her cot till 10 ISH she had another bottle and went straight back to sleep afterwards but then started fussing around two ISH in the cot eyes closed but whining, I put the dummy in and she went back to sleep and she did this again, still with her eyes closed about half an hour after, then up for four am, had some milk and a nappy change back down near five till eight in the morning, I have been tracking it on huckleberry and wondered if it was worth paying for the premium to get more advice on how to get her to sleep through like she used to, I am going to do a bathing routine three times a week as they not to bathe a baby too much and then I am trying to have wind down times between half six and seven, I am knackered and trying anything but does anyone else's child fuss during the night? Mine does I said before but she doesn't open her eyes or anything so I pop the dummy in to sooth her and try and let her fall back to sleep herself, I watch to see if her eyes open at all. Am I doing this right because I am confused and tired.

Hi all! our lactation consultant mentioned my baby has tongue tie, although she feeds well, it’s not painful for me and she’s gaining weight. However, she drips lots of milk during the feeds, she often spits up a lot and she’s very gassy. Thus she suggested to cut it next week, when she’ll be three weeks old. I am so scared she will have a nursing strike. My first baby stopped feeding from the breasts after the procedure for so long and I had mastitis. She developed a preference for the bottle but I had no other choice at that time because the pain for me was unbearable. With my second I don’t have this issue and I am scared she’ll stop breastfeeding too! My second never took a bottle. Anyone can share their experience?

Hi.
Stupid question as my brain isn’t braining.
My baby is now officially 6m old (happy half birthday!) and I’m wondering what the next step is for using a seat for her bath? She currently has the picture attached and she’s almost grown out of it.
She can’t sit unaided yet, is it the seat I get for her?

We made its 10 weeks exclusively breast feeding just to find out my baby has cmpa and possibly a soy sensitivity and the dietary restrictions are too much. I also don’t mind formula feeding she’s been doing well with it. We started all this in last 3 days. Any advice?
