Can someone tell me the difference between giving a 5 month old suncream or waiting until they are 6 months??
Yes I keep her in the shade as much as physically possible but its not always possible. And surely suncream on her face is better thab suncream damage???

Following. My little boy is 4months and I keep thinking the same that surely cream is better than his skin potentially being damaged.

It's in case they develop a rash. Not saying this is right, but I've used it on my 4 month old. I tried a bit behind his ear and left it for 24hrs (like you would with adults for hairdye).

I believe the guidance is because babies under 6 months shouldn’t be in the sun at all - so they say that it’s 6m+ because there shouldn’t be an instance where they will be in the sun. If you use a gentle and sensitive formula that your babies skin doesn’t react to then i think it’s safer if you’re going to have incidental sun exposure
