The court decides based on his income unfortunately

If you take it to court he has to pay or after a while he can get jail time or suspended license for not paying if u guys agree on an amount n if he stop paying nothing u can do because its not court ordered and b hard to prove he paid this amount monthly until blah blah blah u know

My sons dad pays 200 a month without CMS or court

I'm not sure who you need to tell but they work out what he's earning and take the money out of his pay, I only know this because of a lady whos ex partner was paying little to nothing towards Child maintenance and then once it was mentioned to the correct people she then knew how much he was actually earning and they gave him the amount he needed to pay

With daycare costs? Whew

The court decides at a hearing but in my opinion at least 500 that's reasonable

My ex paid 144 a week

I would absolutely do it through child maintenance services, my children’s dad was paying £100 a month for them both which I agreed to, but after a few missed payments I decided to set it up through them and now I get £425 a month. He works 40 hours a week and earns £31000 a year before NI and tax and has the children for one night a week.

If its for 1 child and you have full custody ie the child stays with you 7 nights a week then through the CMS youd be entitled to 12% of his monthly income. Its pretty straight forward if hes on payroll at his job because CMS can see his income & tell you what his weekly liability is to you. But if hes self employed it can be more complex or if hes unemployed and on benefits the amount he has to pay is minimal.

CMS has access to HMRCs systems so theyll be able to see whatever income he's paying tax on. If the numbers dont add up or seem to be much lower than his lifetyle they do have powers to look into that.. but its harder to establish what his weekly financial liability will be. If you file for maintenance theyll tell you what his annual income is, so if you feel its wrong you can flag it.
I can’t believe I’m writing this but here’s the story - my boyf said he’s invited his mum over this morning as he wants to see her and she wants to see our son who’s now 10 months.
I said cool , I’m recovering from a cold and said he’ll look after me today the best as he could. Which was nice to hear.
Anyway. I didn’t think much of her visit I just got on with my day , rested a bit more and did the never ending laundry after our trip away. I was in and out the kitchen chatting a bit but very low energy.
She then decided to leave at 3:30 but , my boyfriend keeps saying you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. She said no it’s fine and the starts to cry!!
I could hear her saying no it’s fine please don’t worry I should go. I didn’t know if I should get involved so I just said bye and left them to talk.
When she’s left I’m not having an explosive argument with my BF because it was my fault , she didn’t feel welcomed and felt like she had to leave. I’m here shouting back at him couldn’t believe what I’m hearing. And just baffled with the whole situation.
I text her saying if there as something she wanted to talk about and here she is essay texting me that she knows when she’s not welcomed.
Myself and my bf are not speaking after such an argument , huge tension in the hosue and it’s all her fault. I have no words and I don’t know what to do.

My 20 month old doesn’t go to nursery he’s got a friend who’s a few months older than him but does go and I’ve noticed a massive difference.
He can count to 6 and knows his colours. How can I teach my son things like this at home?

My baby won’t be 4 months until October 30th. But I have been letting him taste purées and he loves them. Do you think it’s too soon to let him eat more than a spoon full? He has got great head control and sits in high chair without assistance

The more I live life, the more I am starting to realize how much I hate men. I am sure there are a handful that are great. But the majority of them are selfish and literally f*cking dumb.
I have to ASK for help? For things no one asks me to do?
If I decide to cook or not do laundry, it won't get done?
I am beyond tired.
The load of responsibility is not close to even.
Remembering to sign up for parent teacher conferences, which child had a physical due, what sporting game is on what day, washing dirty underwear, cleaning the car from constant crumbs at the car wash, scrubbing toilets and tubs, packing the right snacks for the picky child, then remembering to f*cking shower my own body?!
There's a reason why women are opting out of marriage or having less children. There's a reason more women with children are turning gay and being with someone that understands.
The whole political system, the whole f*cking world is SH*T because of MEN!

😅 i feel like i dont see any 16 year old girls anymore trying to make little extra cash or just moms helping other moms out.
Just me who'd be happy to help a mom out just so she can have her 3 hours to go peacefully grocery shopping or have a break. Its tough to be a mommy. And at the same recover after birth and needing that sleep.
Just me who has to choose between a shower, eating, sleeping or having a quick clean? What's your experience like ? 🥰
