We had two under two and have done an all inclusive holiday already for a week. We’re going again in September and I just remembered it was So annoying either my husband or I having to go get plates for the kids then the other one go get their plate then the first person going again to get theirs. We tried letting the toddler go pick his own stuff once and then never again. Bad idea.
Any advice for how to make this process smoother because I’m now dreading having to eat at the buffet multiple meals a day for two weeks. And I love a buffet.
Yes I very much am aware this is a first world problem so if you have no advice kindly scroll on.

With my 2 younger ones I will go get my plate an one of their plates then hubby will go get his plate an the other kids plate. Thats been the smoothest way we have found .

Experiencing this at the moment. No solution just sympathy. 😂

Could you baby wear the youngest and get 2 plates (yours and baby) and hubby get the other 2 (his and older child) I think this is the best option here.

I usually go first and have mine and the kids plate and split their plate into two plates when I get to table while dad gets his. Makes it easier so they are eating first and I can get some food down then when he starts to eat they still have food they are eating and I have time to see what they liked and get us all more before dad goes again.

I usually go and get both my and Hubby's plate. On my plate, I'll have my food, plus extra for the kids. Then I'd get a third plate full of fruit for all of us to munch on. So basically, I grab 3 plates for the whole group. If Hubby then wants more, he goes and grabs more food, or tell me and I grab more for everyone.
Sometimes we'll have it where he gets his then I go get mine and the kids.
I can’t believe I’m writing this but here’s the story - my boyf said he’s invited his mum over this morning as he wants to see her and she wants to see our son who’s now 10 months.
I said cool , I’m recovering from a cold and said he’ll look after me today the best as he could. Which was nice to hear.
Anyway. I didn’t think much of her visit I just got on with my day , rested a bit more and did the never ending laundry after our trip away. I was in and out the kitchen chatting a bit but very low energy.
She then decided to leave at 3:30 but , my boyfriend keeps saying you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. She said no it’s fine and the starts to cry!!
I could hear her saying no it’s fine please don’t worry I should go. I didn’t know if I should get involved so I just said bye and left them to talk.
When she’s left I’m not having an explosive argument with my BF because it was my fault , she didn’t feel welcomed and felt like she had to leave. I’m here shouting back at him couldn’t believe what I’m hearing. And just baffled with the whole situation.
I text her saying if there as something she wanted to talk about and here she is essay texting me that she knows when she’s not welcomed.
Myself and my bf are not speaking after such an argument , huge tension in the hosue and it’s all her fault. I have no words and I don’t know what to do.

Hi everyone 👋 What are you giving your 12 month olds for snacks? I don’t know why, but my daughter is starting to chuck food on the floor and has got picky in the last couple of weeks. Things she loved, she doesn’t anymore and I’m struggling for ideas!!

(From UK), please recommend flight snacks. We have a four hour flight to Antalya on Friday with a 18month old.

My baby won’t be 4 months until October 30th. But I have been letting him taste purées and he loves them. Do you think it’s too soon to let him eat more than a spoon full? He has got great head control and sits in high chair without assistance

I feel like whenever he is in the house he disrupts our routine and doesn’t listen to me regarding baby’s schedule 🥲 sometimes he gets it right but most of the time I have anxiety when he’s “trying to help”. When I say “I don’t need help” he thinks I’m just saying it not to bother him but I’ve said it so many times I have headaches. I love him, and when I need him to make baby tired or anything he’s great, but his unwanted “help” is driving me insane.

My 20 month old doesn’t go to nursery he’s got a friend who’s a few months older than him but does go and I’ve noticed a massive difference.
He can count to 6 and knows his colours. How can I teach my son things like this at home?
