Night-time nappies

My little boy is 8 weeks old. We're using Tesco's
/Aldi nappies during the day. But they just aren't lasting during the night. What nappies is everyone using for nightime?

I am using mamia nappies and I get them from Amazon. My boy is only two weeks and two days old at the moment but had a good experience with them so far

I find Rascals the best for night time for us. Never had any leaks with them and holds well for 12 hours overnight. Can get them in Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons

We’re using pampers at the moment and may switch to Aldi ones in a few months. Our son is almost 4 weeks old. We only buy pampers during the baby events when they’re on offer and stock up. We were gifted Asda ones and I hated them. They felt flimsy.

My baby is 8 weeks old and she pees for England i swear she thinks its a sport, Morrisons (nutmeg) are the best so far I’ve found and I’ve tried she wears then day and night.
aldi - which was great when she was a few weeks old but just started leaking from 3 weeks old
Asda (little angels) - didn’t last 2 hours
rascals - were great for urine but always leaked when she had a blowout as theres no flap on the back and i change her straight away when she poos as she is noisy when she goes but they wouldn’t hold long enough to get her to the changing table
pampers are good but they are expensive.
I really recommend Morrisons and its £2 for 60 size 2 nappies x

Hand sucking

Anyone else having a problem with their LO hand sucking? I know it's a natural exploration thing and teething thing all babies go through but it's all my 4 month old wants to do! Unless he has a bottle in his mouth all he wants to do is suck his hands to the point of gagging himself. We've tried distracting him with his dummy, teething toys, letting him chew on our hands..we put his mitts on his sleep suits but he shouts at us 😂😂😂 I do let him just get on with it most times but I hate when he makes himself gag

I need help reshaping my thoughts on my baby potentially sharing a birthday with my mum

My mum and I aren't close, by choice on my part. She's a little unaware and seems to think we're close and she's the best mum ever.

To keep it short, the reality is both my parents were quite abusive and neglectful growing up, now as an adult I struggle to really forgive her. As she's gotten older she's remained quite childish and now I feel like the parent/mature one. She will throw tantrums, cry and guilt trip if things don't go her way, she'll ghost you then act upset a few days/weeks later if you stop trying to reach out. Honestly the whole relationship is exhausting but I try to just keep her happy and keep the peace for the sake of my siblings.

Anyways I'm pregnant wirh our 2nd child and now overdue, however I feel I may give birth in the next day or so! It's really exciting but it's my mums birthday in 2 days and I'm just getting this silly gut feeling that baby will arrive on her birthday.

I just know if it was to happen I'd never hear the end of it, like she'd rub it in in a childish way. I'm trying not to let it bother me because it really doesn't matter but I'd be lying if I said I wish I could choose for baby to be born literally any other day 🥲

I need to just reframe how I think about it tbh, because it's so stupid and doesn't matter. Please help!

Speech

My LO has just turned 6m and I noticed today how she the last few weeks she has decreased the amount she babbles and doesn’t seem as interested in trying to talk. She smiles and watches our mouthes when talking to her though.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Formula Feeding Times

I am in the process of switching from breastfeeding to formula feeds for at least during the day as she starts nursery soon. It’s been a long process as we found out my daughter has CMPA so we needed to find the right formula.

My issue is she used to breastfeeding on demand and would snack a small amount every 1.5-2 hours except at bedtime when she would have a longer feed. She is starting to do the same thing with formula, which is wasting more of it and I worry she isn’t having enough.

Any advice on how to shift her to 3-4 hour feeding times with a bigger bottle?
