I was pregnant at 43 and thought I was starting to miss my periods due to perimenopause too. If you want to be pregnant, go for it! And keep that gym membership, you can still workout while pregnant! If this is not what you want, I hope you can find resources to allow you to choose what's best for you. Also, a pregnancy later in life is not always viable and its possible it coud end on its own. Best of luck!

Not a grandma but I got pregnant for the first (and only time) at 45. Had the baby at 46. Shocking as I was told I would be unable to have kids naturally!

I had my 4yo a few years into peri, thankfully I didn’t have my first child until 27, so they only have a 12y 3d gap, which doesn’t seem too unusual considering my bio brother & I have a 13y gap. I feel like the pregnancy set my hormones straight for a while tho, less than a year before I had missed 3 periods & wasn’t pregnant, it wasn’t the 1st time I’d skipped, but the longest, I haven’t missed a single one since having him, the rest of the symptoms came back about a year PP, except the RLS that was kicking my butt at night has only happened a couple times, but unfortunately/fortunately I had pregnancy RLS, but that type was treatable w/magnesium, unlike the peri version. Pregnancy was like a version of peri that’s a bit milder & a greater chance of finding some semblance of relief. But hey, I’m on year 7 now & not doing half bad. Sorry to laugh, my ex MIL had a similar experience, it was her daughter & I who told her to take a pregnancy test, we were 16, my ex husband was 20.🤣
