11 days postpartum

I had a 2nd degree tear which they’ve stitched up. I felt down there and everything feels different. Guaranteed I already knew it wouldn’t be the same. But it feels like she’s stitched it up to one side rather than in the middle. I’m just wondering if everything’s going to go back to normal.

You’re 11 days in.. I would give it a few months ! Things should go back to normal. Just takes time !
I couldn’t look at mine for months but it’s all good now x

I also had a second degree tear. I checked mine pretty early on and thought it was wrong too. Now at 18 months pp it’s totally normal, so give it some time to heal

Thank you all! Ofcourse it’s so early in but with my first child I had a episiotomy so it was a very neat scar left. So this is completely new to me. You’ve all given me peace of mind though! Not that it’s very important but I just had to ask after feeling down there😅x

What happens if you don't breastfeed?

Probably a stupid question but idk, if you choose to formula feed what happens when your milk comes in and how do you avoid mastitis?

Swaddle Vs sleeping suit.

Which one seems to work better for your baby? I am ftm, with a 4week old, I am not entirely sure what is the best option to get him to sleep restfully for a few hours between feeds.

Stop breastfeeding

Breastfeeding (expressing) is affecting my mental & physical health, my breasts constantly hurt, even when I express, I need to get checked to discard mastitis, but my mental health isn't good too, so I just want to stop producing milk.
I'm recovering from a C-Section, my body looks like a disgrace and my scar got infected twice and had to had antibiotics, I'm constantly uncomfortable.

GP has suggested to stop producing milk the natural way, but when I try, the pain is unbearable and it seems like my body wants to produce even more milk. I'm exhausted and I feel like I can't cope with it anymore.
Luckily my baby is mostly formula fed and any breastmilk has been given to him in bottles anyway, and he seems healthy & happy.

Has anyone stopped producing milk the natural way? I asked for medication and they said they can't prescribe it unless a major medical reason 😔

Colostrum harvesting

Anyone else having real difficulty?? So demoralising. I was wondering if people have any tips…

Also how long should you try for? I’m getting minuscule drips but nowhere near even 0.1ml. 🥺

Thanks in advance
