Difficult time

No one talks about how difficult is being woken up by your toddler at 5am in the morning then trying to entertain them until a reasonable time when shops or parks open…all that while hubby sleeps in undisturbed. And yes I try to wake him up but nothing could move him from the bed.

I personally find that time of the day so difficult when baby tries their best to push boundaries 😔

Do you have black out curtains/blinds in their room? Mine has always had and wakes up between 7 or 8 basically 9-11 hours after he falls asleep. I might just be lucky but I’m pretty sure he would rise with the sun if he had the option

Wrong or no?

We are first time parents, living in a two bedroom with another couple so our privacy is VERY limited. Is it wrong to be intimate in the bedroom while the 10 month old sleeps? Or is it horrendously disturbing?

Being pressured on having a second child

Baby girl is only 7 weeks and my MIL is pressuring me to have a second. I’m content with one. We never thought we could have children so it’s amazing to have baby here now. I’m an only child and I turned out okay. There also plays the fact of time and finances. We have dogs and an apartment.

i didn’t realize how much this part of her hair would need attention

has anyone else noticed dryness in the back of their baby’s hair?

this used to be the hardest area for me to manage, and i honestly didn’t think much of it at first

i started focusing more on moisture and consistency and i’m finally seeing a difference

now it’s softer, shinier, and holding moisture so much better

i’ve been documenting her progress and sharing more on instagram as i figure things out 🤍

Nervous about breastfeeding in public or in front of extended family / friends

I've just given birth to our 2nd baby, who is breastfed. Our 1st was formula fed so this is my first time navigating breastfeeding in front of other people.

She's only a few days old so the only other people we've seen are our parents. However it's playing on my mind about how many visitors we'll have in the coming weeks and also when we start going out again to cafes, shops etc

I think I'm just still new to it and not totally confident yet, as well as being a shy person anyways, I just don't know how I'll do it.
How do you navigate breastfeeding? Is it worth investing in all the clothes etc that have the zippers to discreetly get your breast out? Do you go into a different room? Baby can feed for a long time atm so I wonder if people feel awkward leaving visitors etc for long periods of time?

Early wake ups

Hello ladies, my nearly 8 month old has finally started sleeping through the night 7:30 ish -6am however the past two mornings he has woke at 4:40 and 5:40. Whilst I know this is still amazing so please know I am absolutely not moaning but seems far too early to start the day.

He is only having two naps a day however with the earlier wake up he’s requiring more and I’m struggling to fit them in around my 4 year old!

Any advice on how to tweak/ change this so he at least sleeps until 6 ish??

Thank you xx

No breast milk yet - what to do?

Hello, if my breast milk hasn’t come in yet and I’m struggling to get colostrum off would you recommend getting some formula to feed your baby? He is now 24 hours old. Doesn’t seem overally hungry at the moment, but I’m certain he’ll catch up!

Also, what brand of formulas are you looking at? The whole formula thing has scared me a little.

Thanks in advance xx
