Hi mummas!
FTM here. What laundry detergent should I use? Can I buy own brand (Aldi) or is it better to go with branded (fairy)?
Do you use fabric conditioner, or just laundry detergent?
Thank you!

Can use any as long as it’s non bio.
I use fairy fabric conditioner, lots of places say you shouldn’t but we’ve never had any skin issues. I wouldn’t use super strong fragrances though x

Anything non bio will do, it’s only a precaution bc some babies have eczema prone/sensitive skin or could trigger asthma with the scent so it’s best to use non-bio until u know how buba reacts x

Once I knew my baby didn't react to scents etc, I just literally started using any brand/type. I did start off doing an "extra rinse" to get off any excess. But now he's a toddler, I just say sod it and lob it in normal wash lol

The NHS say there's no need to use non bio. You can use whatever you normally use at home

I used to use fairy non bio. But since I've been pregnant I can't stand the smell, it's super chemically. Everything but fairy is ok. So weird. Can't go near it now. I can also tell when people have used fairy like some weird super power

We used fairy non- bio to start with, but when baby was born she was getting passed around, so got used to other washing products. Now we get a own brand non bio x
My baby boy is 4 months old almost 5 and is formula fed. He has been pooping green for months now and my nurse practitioner didn’t have anything to say about it.. is this normal? He doesn’t complain and is a healthy boy!

After making it this far without giving a dummy, I'm finally caving (no judgement or questions please, just personal preference). Over the last month, my girl has started sucking on 2 fingers constantly to soothe herself and she's making them red raw. 2 people have told me recently that they think she cries more than the average baby and that breaks my heart thinking she's unhappy. So hence the decision to give a dummy... but i have a few random questions. Does your baby have access to a dummy all of the time, or just when you want them to start settling down? Do you find you're constantly waking in the night to put it back in before mouth if it falls out? I don't really want her to constantly have it in her mouth, ideally just to help soothe herself for naps and sleep. I understand there's a risk she might not accept a dummy this far along but with how much she loves sucking things, I think she will. I'm also however worried about creating yet another sleep association with it, as I am already pretty guilty of feeding to sleep

For mums who have been through this before, what did you do with your little one’s bedtime & morning wake up routine / timings when the clocks go back in October? I’ve got a 5 month old and looking for advice on how should I mange the change with her.

The only way my husband can get our 5 day old baby boy to sleep is to have him in arms being rocked or in this swing. He says he and his ex let my SD sleep in her swing for months because she needed the incline for reflux.
Google says baby should not be in the swing for more than an hour a day. But Google also says no cosleeping and I feel like swing or cosleeping might be the only ways to ever sleep.
My husband is wonderful and is taking 8pm-2am and we're barely home and already exhausted. Is this OK?
