do you keep your toddler on the potty until they go, or just try again later?

I’ve just started potty training my 18 months old baby. He sits on the potty without any problem. But for example, today we waited there for about 20 minutes and he didn’t pee or poop at all. I’m wondering what people usually do in that situation. Do you keep them sitting there until they go? Do you play with them or distract them somehow? Or do you just try sitting them on the potty for short times throughout the day and then take them off?

Also, do you still use diapers during this process? Today is our first day. Should I put a diaper on him on the first day, or should I just let him wear underwear and walk around the house like that?

I’m also a bit worried about him pooping in his underwear. Because of that, I’m thinking maybe I should put a diaper on sometimes and then take it off again. What would you recommend?

No diaper, no underwear, regular prompts and eyes on at all times to get him on the potty as soon as he starts to pee. Diapers are for naps and nights. I'd recommend staying in areas where it's easy to clean the floor.

Drunk husband 38 weeks pregnant.

We had a farewell party tonight. We bbq and watched the playoffs and bonded. My sister in law is going to basic for the navy and tonight is her last night before leaving. Well. My husband doesnt normally drink but my father in law does and well. Everyone of legal age to drink were doing shots. My husband had about 26-30 shots of tequila because he was doing the double shot glass. Which is why its so high. Well. My brother in laws managed to get him and our toddler in the car. I drive home. He begins to hurl. OMG. I almost threw up. We get home. Hes crying and apologizing. I settle our toddler in the house. I leave him in the garage to get his throw up clothes in the washer and I begin to clean the vomit around him. (I didnt want to track the vomit into the house) I call my in laws in the process letting them know we made it home. He threw up but he ok. His sister said leave him in the car with his vomit he needs to deal with that on his own. I laughed it off like hahahaha but reallly..tf. He tells me to leave him where he is at. Im said no you are so drunk you can aspirate on vomit and you are my husband. I get my green Bissell I clean up whatever vomit I could while he is still in the seat. Im helping him take off his clothes and suctioning the throw up. I throw up because well. its throw up. I tell him i got what I could but he is going to have to remove his seat because its EVERYWHERE. I leave the car windows down and leave the rest of the cleaning for him tomorrow morning. I got as much as the seat would allow. I get his clothes in the washer. Him in the shower. I wash the vomit off his body. Gave him fluids and got him dressed and in bed. Should I have done what I had done or not? Would you leave your spouse in their own mess or help them out?

In laws

How are we dealing with our over bearing in laws? My MIL keeps making comments on how she hates the name we picked out for our baby. & she keeps calling her "my baby" or " my princess" . I get it that she's excited, but I'm so annoyed

Partner working a lot

I’m not sure if I’m asking for too much, my husband has his own business and it’s been busier than usual and short of staff. I’m a week from my due date and we have a 3 years old, which I stay home with. I’m just felling that I’m taking myself to the limit here! Now he tells me he’s not sure if he can take days off this week. I really appreciate his efforts as he’s the breadwinner but I also need support specifically at this stage of pregnancy.

Fire hose

Hello mums, I have a nearly 6 week old lil boy. The question is... I'll put his nappy on and make sure his penis is pointing down yet some how he manages to wee out the top of his nappy toward what ever side he has managed to wriggle and worm his way onto. Is there any way to stop this? He went through 3 onesies last night wetting though to nearly his shoulders in one go. And yes his penis does stand up when he has to wee could that be part of it?

Taking baby out

We went into a big augment with my partner because I said no to taking our 12wks baby to costco and because we have a trip booked soon after his 16wks immunisations, he keeps saying even he should not be on a plane because is more riskier 😲. Personally, I thought costco is so congested. He was suggesting we go on a weekend. Am I wrong?

I just want to cry and scream and break down. I’m fucking battling every day with PPD and trying my best to just stay afloat and he’s “miserable”? I feel like just giving up 💔
Idk what to do
