How much money is a normal amount of money to spend on a end of year teacher gift?

As a teacher I would never expect a gift. I always think a card means more with special words. Those are the things that I have kept over the last 10 years!

I always get a box of chocolates or biscuits. This is because I also get for the TA and also my oldest went to an sen school where there would be four TAs plus taxi driver and escort who all deserved a token of appreciation.

It all depends on how much you feel comfortable spending on them. I love a hand made card from children (I work in a private nursery in preschool room) and last year I got flowers, cards (mix of shop bought and handmade by children), a £20 gift voucher for a restaurant, handmade bracelets from the children and a crocheted bee key ring from one of the parents.
For my daughters key worker I spent about £20 plus a box of chocolates for the baby room to share so about £30 all in x
