24 week appointment today

This is my second baby and I thought the 24/25 week appointment was for if it was your first baby? Anyone else having this appointment?

I'm having it! I think it's midwife and trust dependant. Some trusts/midwives just give you all the appointments anyway. I'm a student midwife and in the trust I have my placements (and my maternity care) it does seem everyone gets the same. I'm not complaining as it seems a really long time to go between otherwise, and I have questions!

I got told at my 16 week that I won’t be seen again til 28 weeks - second pregnancy x

I'm having it! Was told normally you wouldn't in your second but I had blood pressure issues with my first so having the one at 24 weeks to keep an eye on it. I know everywhere does it differently though so may just be where you live!

What do contractions feel like? I have a pretty high pain tolerance and am scared I won’t know right away

Visitors in the Hospital

What is your plan regarding visitors in the hospital?

My preference (and my husband's) is not to have visitors and to just have that time to bond with our baby. This has become a massive point of contention with both of our parents. I think it's a pretty reasonable boundary, but I wanted to set expectations early.

I'm curious what everyone else is doing to set boundaries ahead of time.

weird pains 37 weeks

I’m 37w 4d and have been experiencing this kinda sharp/ tight pain in my back and lower stomach. I happened a few times day before yesterday then yesterday less and now today it’s happening more. It comes and goes no pattern though. What could this be? I don’t think it’s contractions and when I went to the OB a few days ago my cervix was closed.

Nausea

Anyone else's nausea start up again. I'm 32 weeks and everytime I eat anything (snack, meal) anything but water i get huge waves of nausea. Didn't have this when I was pregnant with my daughter but now I do with my son. I'm struggling to eat nowadays even though I'm always so hungry.
