I moved into my house in Friendswood on 10/31/19. Got my middle schoolers enrolled, got my house set up, got our doctors established and then the world went on house arrest. For years. We moved here from northern Virginia after my husband was offered a job at nasa. I left everything I knew and loved, all the ppl I loved, my hobbies, my life, and when the world opened back up, my kids were in high school and I knew no one at all. This is a conservative area, but only in so much that my appearance has kept my older neighbors snub me and I don't have little kids to meet others the old way. Can someone please tell me how to find one other outcast in this area that I can actually have a conversation with or leave the house to go see? My dog is tired of me talking at her. I am at the point of asking for a divorce because I can no longer stand the endless days of nothing anymore and my husband didn't anything wrong except accept his dream job. Any suggestions?

Wow that is so hard! Moving states away from everything is difficult for sure and to top it off, COVID…
Maybe go to some of the local coffee shops and hangout/ read or something and try to make some connections there? Maybe one of your kids friends moms?
I moved away from all of my friends and family and the only place I’ve met people I’ve made real connections with has been through my church.
