Overnight oats 8mo old question

I want to make some overnight oats for my 8 month old to make breakfast a little easier this week but I keep seeing recipes using cow’s milk. Might be a bit silly to ask but do I substitute the cow’s milk for water instead or is cow’s milk safe to consume in overnight oats for the little one? Sorry if it’s dumb I just don’t want to harm my baby by giving them something their little body can’t handle yet 😣

Do they handle things like cheese or yogurt? Do you make other meals with milk in it for cooking? If they handle those just fine then I'd just go for the cow's milk, personally, but just know I'm not a nutritionist. People suggest giving dairy products later on in BLW.

You probably could do breastmilk or even formula.

I mostly just came here to say that my main go to easy breakfast is mini egg muffins. Roughly a dozen eggs, 1 cup meat, 1.5 cups veggie of choice, and 1 cup cheese. Mix pour and bake at 350 for approx 20-25 minutes.

I think breastmilk or formula would probably taste better.

Help with talking!!

Hi all my kiddo is 2 1/2 and he refuses to talk. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get him to talk?! He follows everything I tell him to do he just won’t verbalize what he wants. I have contacted speech therapy and they said he didn’t qualify. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Breastfeeding help

I'm struggling to understand how people do this 😭

I'm on day 3 and my nipples feel like they've been cut with glass. I cannot get baby to latch well. I've had advice from midwives and they've helped me multiple times now, and I always manage when they help, but as soon as I'm left to do it myself I just cannot get baby to latch deep enough and its so painful.

I tried expressing so I could still have milk to give baby but I'm not making enough milk yet for that to even be worth it tbh.

She wants to feed every 5 minutes, I can't keep up. My breasts feel empty and soft and she still wants to feed. I know this is because she's making my supply increase but it's constant. I can't do anything else, i can't put her down for anything, not even to go pee.

I have a toddler too and I'm just feeling tremendous amounts of guilt for not being able to even have 5 minutes to cuddle him 😔

How does this get better??? Please help!

Huckleberry app

Is anyone really following the huckleberry app sleep suggestions and is it working for you?
My baby is 9 weeks old and I just want to know if i should try it or not… monitoring wake windows and all that can be overwhelming especially when you’re sleep deprived… should I just follow baby’s cues and forget about apps?. TIA!

Favorite silly/random mom hack?

One of my recent ones: the little plastic containers that some pacifiers are sold in, which are meant for steam sterilizing in the microwave, are the perfect size for a menstrual disc 🙈 what is one thing you’ve found that makes your life the tiniest bit easier/more convenient as a mom?

Nighttime

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Our baby has just turned 5 months and 1 week old. He’s always been great at going to sleep in the evening. We do our usual routine and put him down in the next to me. Even throughout the 4 month regression he went down perfectly. However the past 3 nights he has been hysterically crying when we put him down. We don’t want to pick him up and undo what he’s learnt, but often have had no choice as he’s been so unhappy. Is anyone else experiencing the same or got any advice? 😭

Infacol

Thoughts on the use of infacol before feeds please? My baby isn’t great at burping after feeding but also a bit reluctant to give him artificial rubbish to help
