Sitting

Anyone else’s baby not sitting unaided yet? He’ll sit good if I loosely hold his hips or shoulders but will lean too far forward and fall over if I let go! I know every baby is different but constantly worried he’s behind!

So my baby isn't sat up unaided yet but she can roll and is almost crawling. Makes no sense. They all hit milestones at different rates. Nothing to be worried about. My girl could roll both directions at just over 3 months old! A lot can't do that until 7 months old.

Mines just getting stronger to sit for a short amount of time but will suddenly throw herself sideways at any moment so we are always sitting her with our legs either side

On average most babies don't sit unaided until they're 6-9 months with some even later so don't worry about falling behind!

Im glad you asked this because mines is still wobbling about like a marshmallow lol, she tends to bend really forward so we are working on tummy time again 💁‍♀️

First period

Hey!

I’m 8 weeks post–C-section, and my first period just started yesterday (yaaay 😭). However, I’m a bit concerned because the flow is very heavy, and I’m passing quite large blood clots. I feel fine otherwise—no cramps or typical period symptoms—just the heavy flow and larger clots.

Has anyone experienced an extremely heavy first period after giving birth?

Whar do I do?!

Am I in early labour or just ill?

I have had 2 days of what is probably nesting then just got struck with the need to nap this afternoon. Woke up about 6:30 after around 2 hours and felt a bit off so ran a bath. By 7pm I'd started having mild irregular cramping accross my abdomen whilst in the bath. Got out about 8:30 and little lady had a good wriggle but I felt quite rough.

This then continued with regular cramps all night. Spent some time on my birthing ball wrapped in a blanket with a hot water bottle on my back because I had chills. Tried laying down on my left and watching something on TV, listening to music etc but I just couldn't get comfy.

Cramps coming anywhere between 5-15 minutes apart for anything from 25secs to - 2.5 mins.

I go to lay on my right and instantly vomit up over a little of the squash I had been sipping through the evening. I then feel better enough to get about a 25 minute nap in at around 2am.

Since then I've been awake and cramping still anywhere between 3.5 mins to 25mins apart.

Me and my partner have decided to get into bed and try and get some proper rest but I've woke up from the nap and my forhead temp is reading 38.8°

Realistically I know i probably should ring the Mat Unit. It's my first and I'm 37 +1.
