Anyone else’s partner or maybe even yourself, not able to be home in time to have a family dinner every night? Where every member of the family is sitting at the table.

This is not a post of judgement. With our 24 hour world right now, access to emails, programs, etc. running at all times of the day, just curious if anyone truly has this as their daily normal. If so, I’m envious!

Yes we eat dinner together. No phones allowed at the table.

It’s one tradition I insist on having.

Sometimes it’s ten o’clock at night but sitting at the table together is a priority for me.

The rest of the meals are anarchy tho lol

My husband gets off at different times. So its hard to tell if we will have dinner together or not. Sometimes we eat together, sometimes we don't.

Awww. We do. He’s home at 5.30 every day though. Many husbands have their own biz or unpredictable hours so I know it’s not as common. But yeah we do Xx our dining table is in the middle of the huge open plan area so from there I can see the lounge hallway backyard and if I move my chair back, the front door. I also do my nails on the dining table 😂 It’s the heart of the house. All the chats and meals and hosting is done there.

My husband's schedule changes every week sometimes every few days, varying day and night. Next week he'll be out of town so video dinner it will be ☹️

Honestly I rarely sit down to eat with my kids.

Once a week or every other week we do pajama taco night where I take them to taco time in our pajamas before my sons appointment (they don’t know this but they’re in the pajamas because there’s a good chance they fall asleep on the way home from the appointment and I carry them in to bed)

We are lucky that we do sit and eat dinner all together nearly every day, there’s only 1 day a week that we generally don’t because of extra curricular stuff.

I work around my child so I always sit with him to both eat together. His dad works later so if he's around he'll eat with us but I'm not waiting on him?

I work part time but bring my child with me to work, would I be considered more in the work force or more of a sahm?

I feel like I don’t hear about part time working moms!

I have two friends right now and neither of them have kids. One is younger than me and the other is not the ideal friend. I care about them both but I need a friend that understands what im going through. My baby just turned 1. Im in Missoula now and all alone.

Where my future bestie at? 🩷I need a cool homegirl to vibe with whether it’s going out, eating, chill days, or playdates. I’m a mom so I get both sides of life 😂 just want a real friendship, good energy only.🫶🏾

Needing advice

I have a friend who I was really close with, until she started asking me to pay for things because she didn’t have money. Always promising to pay me back because I trusted she would when she could (definitely shouldn’t have done that and I’m feeling very stupid about for doing it). She now has money and is buying herself luxuries like tattoos and new sets of nails and hasn’t even tried to pay me back. I lent her the money out of the goodness of my heart because I knew she was struggling and I wanted to do a nice thing. She now owes me $345 and every time I bring up that I’m struggling I just get “awe hun I understand”. How would I go about asking her for it back. She’s very much the type of person that if you bring up subjects she doesn’t like (like her owing money) she cuts you off, and I want my freaking money back.
