Crunchy mamas

I have just gone the rabbit hole of non toxic life. I’m trying to change bit by bit! What I’m struggling with is diapers and baby wipes. What do you use? I was looking into dry wipes but all I could find is honest brand but they don’t do it in the uk

Hungry baby

My little boy is almost 3 months old, drinking 6 ounces of milk, (Aldi milk) doesn’t finish the bottle and then goes back to it maybe half hour later. But then he’s starving again within 2 hours.
I don’t think the answer is to give him more as he doesn’t always go back to it. If anyone has the MAM bottles he tends to drink to the colour of the plastic connection at the bottom which I think is about 30/40ml.
Is hungrier baby milk worth buying? Every time I talk to my midwives about his feeding they don’t seem concerned coz he’s putting on the weight. I feel like I’m always feeding him.

Breastfeeding out & about

Heya! I’m almost 2 weeks postpartum recovering from a c section. Still not quite ready to go out and about yet but wanted to see how people are getting on with breastfeeding out in public? I have a few events coming up soon and I’m a bit nervous about the feeding and how it’ll go. I am also expressing so don’t know whether to take a few bottles out to make it easier x

Sleep Deprived and on the verge of losing it.

My 3 month old is still taking a night feeding. He won't eat over 4 Oz each feed, (like, he literally stops exactly a 4 if there's more in the bottle) and he eats every two hours, and carries into the wee morning at 2:30 am. I feel like I havent slept since he's arrived. I know the fresh newborn stage was rough with waking almost every 1-2 hours like clockwork. But my body is sending off endurance warning signal when he's screaming at 2:30 am. And when I wake up at 5 am with him to feed again he's awake and ready to party 😩 and start the day. I'm trying to break the angry mom curse that feels like it was burned into my veins growing up. But I need some damn sleep. I'd really LOVE to know if anyone was able to get their 3 month old to sleep through the night. I try to nap when he does, but it's like he has a radar the minute I close my eyes to start crying or grunting and then I also have two obnoxious dogs that bark at the wind blowing during the day. TIA

Dentist

I took my eldest for a check up at the dentist today and enquired as to when to register and bring my May baby for his first appointment. The receptionist and the dentist both said 2 years old. I swear it was earlier with my daughter but maybe I'm just misremembering it! Interested to hear what others have been told. He'll be familiar with the environment from seeing me and my daughter go, so it's more about actually having his own teeth checked x

Ridiculous behavior at school with another Mom

My first Mom friend at my kids elementary school has turned out to be quite a peice of work. Known her since my 6ro was 2, our kids went to preschool together. My daughter then joined the local elementary school last year, where her kids also attend so we would get together often after school to have the kids play. I felt comfortable with our friendship and finally opened up a bit (I'm a closed book unless I feel I really know someone and this is exactly why). I discovered this year from a newer friend who was also friends with her, that she was sharing my personal business and even eith false statements. So disappointing. I waited a few months before saying anything because I needed time to process feeling frustrated. When I finally did address it, this Mom owned it and seemed remorseful. I saw her yesterday at school pick up, smiled and said hi to her and her youngest kid. She was standing with a few other Moms and completely ignored me and touched her kid when he went to say hi back. He wasn't allowed to speak to me??

The level of manipulation was astounding. To any outsider, it would appear I had done something wrong and she was a victim?? I have never spoken badly about this Mom, even after realizing she was never actually a friend. I know it's a waste of my energy to want those who saw this interaction to know the truth, and I'm sure this new dynamic is going to continue playing out. I need to protect my peace but how do I handle this moving forward? I have no idea what she is even saying about me now but the idea that I could be portrayed in any further mistruths really bothers me. She had a falling out with another Mom this year so I know that she specifically tells her children not to speak to this former friend, has even made statements to her kids at school, in front of others like "Don't speak to her. She is mean." & now I'm getting the same treatment. This level of behavior is insane. I don't understand why she would apply this mean girl behavior to me as well? Is there anything I should do or say the next time this happens?
