Nosebleeds third trimester?

Is anyone else experiencing nosebleeds once they hit their third trimester!? Ive never had one in my life. It started at 29 weeks and I feel like I have one once a week now - I am 31 weeks. They arent heavy and last like 2 minutes if the air is dry but still 😫

I am! It's terrible especially in public

Do you follow the Babylist app? It follows your pregnancy(and postpartum with baby!)week by week, telling you what to expect. I’m pretty sure it mentioned the nosebleeds as well as bleeding gums. Both I experienced right when it told me I would. The amount of blood in your body increases 40-50% when pregnant, putting a lot of pressure on little blood vessels.

Mine bled at the end of my shift for 30 min straight. It's common.

Yes! I was exactly like this too!

Have you checked your BP by any chance?

Common but check your bp to make sure . Any swelling in hands or face?

Blood thinning injections.

I’m gutted … so I left hospital yesterday and they’ve prescribed me 6 weeks of clexane! 6 weeks! I know it’s for a reason but seems so unfair. She also said I have to keep my stockings on that long too!

Anyone else doing the same?

Induction or Planned C-Section

I'm 32 weeks at the moment and have been told I will be booked in to speak the consultant around 34/36 weeks as they will want to discuss induction due to GD. It is currently diet controlled well and baby is measuring 88th centile for my height, weight and ethnicity, so I was told if that continues they would allow me to go to 40+4 days only. My plan initially was to say an induction can be booked for then and no earlier, and then just pray for baby to arrive before that. However after speaking to some friends they suggested booking an elected c-section. That way I can have more say over the process, less intervention brought on by inducing labour and overall feel settled and in control of my decision.

Please could you share if you chose induction or elective c-section, why you chose that and if you would do it differently now in hindsight?

NHS Letters for scans

I called up and changed my scan date on the 14th because I had limited availability. I then received a letter for the original appointment, dated before the phone call. I’ve not had a new letter with the new appointment on it and it’s tomorrow. Should I be worried it’s not gone through or is it standard to not send a letter since it was confirmed on the phone? I’m in Cornwall for context.

Moving from bassinet to stroller

Hi all - when are you moving your baby from the bassinet on the pram to the stroller version/stroller pram? My little one is 17 weeks and seems to always be straining to sit up (ab workout!) and doesn't sleep in the pram, I think partially due to reflux and hating lying flat but also he seems to be staring out and fascinated by the trees and light and shadows. He'll often just cry in frustration instead! Thanks!

Triage

Does anyone have similar experiences with triage? I was seen really quickly and observations ok but I’ve been here 4 hours and they won’t let me leave without seeing a dr even though I’m all ok. I get that emergencies come in etc but they just leave you in a side room for hours? Too pregnant for this 😩
