Blood thinning injections.

I’m gutted … so I left hospital yesterday and they’ve prescribed me 6 weeks of clexane! 6 weeks! I know it’s for a reason but seems so unfair. She also said I have to keep my stockings on that long too!

Anyone else doing the same?

Ye I was in the same boat with iron tablets added with it

Yep, it sucks unfortunately, but got to be done x

I didn't have the stockings and only had to carry on the injections for a week. The jabs are easy and dont hurt when you do it right. Its all part of recovery. It seems tough now but it gets easier! Im 9 months pp and you wouldnt think I even had an emergency c sec. You got this, momma!

I’ve been given the injections for 6 weeks but midwife said I can take the stockings off at 10 days

Avatar

Yep, it's annoying but like you said it's for a very important reason

Was given the same and thought they were being a bit dramatic and after day 10 took the socks off and my feet ballooned by the next hour. It’s irritating but it’s for good reason xx

I'm almost finished my 6 weeks of them. It seems like a long time when your told to take them for that long but it will be over before your know it. The stockings I only had to wear for 10 days x

Unsure how to do these so they don't hurt. My partner tries his best but I find them excruciating and am in tears every evening with the injections. They've left me black and blue. Any tips on how to minimise pain?

My partner does the same but on my leg. My midwife said thigh or around belly button. The belly button area was worse than the thigh so we've carried on there. I might get him to try tummy where you suggest and see how that goes. Still have two weeks to go 😮‍💨

Yes I had 6 weeks of injections. My legs were a mess. I got my wife to give me them as I couldn't do it myself. Good luck, the 6 weeks will fly in! X

I only had it for ten days and I hated it. It hurt and my legs bruised from every one of the injections. I had to get my husband to do it for me as I just couldn’t face doing it. I had to keep the stockings on for the whole time too. Sorry you have to have for six weeks 😔

During my first pregnancy I had to take them twice daily from 12 weeks - 6 week post partum 😂. This pregnancy will be from 28 weeks until 6 weeks post partum. I got my other half to do them and made sure I changed sites daily.

Is this a bump?

I feel like I am being super stupid here.. I want to say it’s a bump but I’m only 13 weeks (today) with my first baby so surely it’s too soon for me to be showing? I’m super excited at the thought of a bump so I don’t know if I’m just getting excited over bloat or something..

TMI but…..

Im 4 weeks pp from my c-section and I am so horny! I know I can’t have penetration until at least 6 weeks and I don’t plan to before that. I was debating other types of stimulation but I am also terrified that any kind will hurt soo badly and I don’t want to mess up my recovery. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do to find relief?

Epidural and Csections

Hi, I've just found out at 35 weeks that he is breech and I'm looking for people's opinions on C sections and epidurals. These are the only two things I didn't want 😩that I now might have to get.
I genuinely don't think I'm gonna let them come near me with that epidural needle.

C section

I've opted for a c section due to baby measuring on 94th percentile, being breech and having some medical complications. They've said it will be next Friday, I'm totally laid back so not worried. However, I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to consider? Any essentials that people would recommend for hospital bags etc? Any help appreciated!
