Cradle cap??

Would you say this is cradle cap or something else? It came around 3 weeks ago when she was 3 months old. Never had cradle cap before this. It doesn’t seem to be getting any worse or bothering her. The first red mark is a birth mark it’s just the two scabby/red patches.

Iv never seen cradle crap like that before, if you havnt been picking at it and nothings irritating it then its something else. Get it checked by a gp

I’m absolutely not a doctor but looks like it could be psoriasis or eczema? Fairly common in newborn I think but see a GP x

Looks more like eczema to me.

No not cradle cap looks like ring worm or excema, try putting some baby oil in it or Vaseline but I would book a gp app they will able give you something for it

Thank you! I have contacted the GP but as usual need to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. Will try Vaseline. She has also been getting red dry patches on her stomach so maybe it is eczema!

Have you tried taking her to an pharmacist they maybe able to help and advise in the mean time x

I’d say more eczema but I’m not a doctor so could be wrong, just comparing it to my son’s cos his was relatively bad. I’d get it checked by pharmacy but they prob will say go to the doctors because she’s a baby xx

I do children’s nursing and I’d say looks more like eczema or psoriasis, more likely eczema x but still go to that appointment and get it checked

Stopping breast feeding

I decided yesterday to stop BF, my newborn is five weeks but I just find it so demanding with a toddler etc that want to switch to formula now but I am in AGONY. Omg is this normal? No one warned me I’d be in so much pain. I’ve had to sleep upright and take pain relief! How long will this last?

Pram regret is real 😩 did I choose wrong?

Mums I need help 😩

I bought the Bugaboo Dragonfly and now I’m having serious regrets… I keep thinking I should’ve gone for the YOYO instead 😭

We’re flying on 1st June and baby will be just under 4 months, so now I’m stressing about airport life, folding the pram, gate checking, all of it 🫠

Do I:

1. Keep the Dragonfly and just deal with it for travel
2. Sell it and switch to a YOYO
3. Keep it and get a separate travel buggy

I love the comfort of the Dragonfly but I’m worried it’s going to be a nightmare at the airport. But then I don’t want to downgrade and regret it the other way either 😩

If you’ve travelled with either (or both!) what did you do??
Was the YOYO actually worth it or is it overhyped?

Also flying with a 4 month old… any must-know tips? ✈️🤍

Sleep. 10 nearly 11 months

My LO goes down between 1830 and 1900 every night but no matter what we try. The latest she will sleep is 545. It was 510 this morning 😴 I reduced her daytime sleep yesterday to 2 hours and 5 which I think could have resulted in over tiredness hence the early start - she normally has between 2 hours 30 and 2 hours 45. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Our whole day has shifted earlier now because of the early start but I really don’t want to do an early bedtime…?

5oz for 5 week old

My 5 week old is currently on 5oz as she was on 4oz but was hungry again after an hour. Since increasing to 5 she’s been sick a LOT, I tried going back down to 4 but she would down the whole bottle and still be hungry. I tried a dummy to see if she actually just wanted comfort but she spits it out and continues screaming. I don’t know what I should do as 4 isn’t enough but 5 seems too much for her as she ends up throwing a lot of it back up. She has a bottle every 2/3 hours, so 5oz for her age and so many of them feels like too much.

Bedtime for 11 week old

At what time should my baby go to sleep? He’s always been a baby that falls asleep by 9pm and has a great stretch of sleep then (usually he wakes up 3-4 times a night and is up for the day around 5-6am) but lately he’s been showing signs of being very very tired by 6pm sometimes… should we put him to bed earlier ? I’m just very scared we’ll be up by 3am if we put him down so early. Suggestions?
He’s having the biggest meltdowns after 6pm because we try to aim for at least 8pm bedtime but he can’t stay awake
