Bad behaviors

Incog so I’m not exposing my 3.5 yr old. She’s not really bad - it’s just everything she does pisses me off. How do you all deal?

Ex; Hates daddy and wants to do everything with mommy. Won’t even let him take her out of the car seat.

Ex; I said no to a lollipop on the way to daycare. She was screaming, crying, and kicking the back of my chair.

Ex; Time to eat breakfast? Time to brush teeth? Time to pee? Time to dress? Time to sleep? Won’t budge.

Ex; Pushes and sometimes hits her little sister mostly over playtime.

In general, she does everything I tell her not to do and does everything she’s not supposed to do. I’m losing it.

Also, her “hating” daddy is a problem. She will sometimes hit or scratch him.

What do I do OMG.

If you tell her not to do something all she hears is the thing you don't want so that's what she does.

Ie no hitting.... All they hear is hitting.

Reframe how you say it.

Time to do something... Make it fun.
Who can win?
Can the toothbrush play in your mouth etc.

Simple choices to make them feel in control.

In terms of hating dad give them time solo to build their relationship.

You need to set boundaries with her. Not just tell her not to do something but when she does something she’s not supposed to do there needs to be a consequence. Also limit overstimulating screen time. Sounds like she could also be acting out as a way to get attention. Try to have genuine one on one time with her both you and dad need to do this. She’s saying she doesn’t want to go with dad that is her only option. She has to learn to “tolerate” him as well. Kids at this age want control over everything. Give her options that are acceptable to you so she can feel like she’s having some control.

You didn't ask me for the options but for example
- do you want to run up the stairs or do you want to be carried? She still goes upstairs but feels in control.
- in the morning for example do you want to eat breakfast first or get dressed first?

Stopping breast feeding

I decided yesterday to stop BF, my newborn is five weeks but I just find it so demanding with a toddler etc that want to switch to formula now but I am in AGONY. Omg is this normal? No one warned me I’d be in so much pain. I’ve had to sleep upright and take pain relief! How long will this last?

Pram regret is real 😩 did I choose wrong?

Mums I need help 😩

I bought the Bugaboo Dragonfly and now I’m having serious regrets… I keep thinking I should’ve gone for the YOYO instead 😭

We’re flying on 1st June and baby will be just under 4 months, so now I’m stressing about airport life, folding the pram, gate checking, all of it 🫠

Do I:

1. Keep the Dragonfly and just deal with it for travel
2. Sell it and switch to a YOYO
3. Keep it and get a separate travel buggy

I love the comfort of the Dragonfly but I’m worried it’s going to be a nightmare at the airport. But then I don’t want to downgrade and regret it the other way either 😩

If you’ve travelled with either (or both!) what did you do??
Was the YOYO actually worth it or is it overhyped?

Also flying with a 4 month old… any must-know tips? ✈️🤍

Sleep. 10 nearly 11 months

My LO goes down between 1830 and 1900 every night but no matter what we try. The latest she will sleep is 545. It was 510 this morning 😴 I reduced her daytime sleep yesterday to 2 hours and 5 which I think could have resulted in over tiredness hence the early start - she normally has between 2 hours 30 and 2 hours 45. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Our whole day has shifted earlier now because of the early start but I really don’t want to do an early bedtime…?

5oz for 5 week old

My 5 week old is currently on 5oz as she was on 4oz but was hungry again after an hour. Since increasing to 5 she’s been sick a LOT, I tried going back down to 4 but she would down the whole bottle and still be hungry. I tried a dummy to see if she actually just wanted comfort but she spits it out and continues screaming. I don’t know what I should do as 4 isn’t enough but 5 seems too much for her as she ends up throwing a lot of it back up. She has a bottle every 2/3 hours, so 5oz for her age and so many of them feels like too much.
