I’m coming up to 10 weeks and have my first booking appointment next week when I’ll be nearly 11 weeks- I’ve not heard anything about my 12 week scan? I had a private scan yesterday (photo) and the sonographer said my NHS scan should have been booked by now otherwise it will be too late to do any health screening?! Now I’m in a panic lol- has anyone else had their scan later than 12weeks as at this rate I think I’ll be having it between 13-15 weeks?

Hi, I was told that they are behind with scans and can scan you up to 14 weeks. Give your midwife a call

The Midwive books it after your booking appointment, mine was booked for two weeks after, they’re quite quick at getting you booked in so I wouldn’t worry ☺️

I’ll be just over 12 weeks, just about! I thought it was late too , 😄

I had mine booked in around a week and a half after my booking appointment, I’ll be 13 weeks when I have mine 😊

The blood test for the combined screening test needs to be between 10 and 14 weeks, the scan needs to be between 11 and 14 weeks. So you've got time

Mine was really efficient. I self referred at 4 weeks and by 5 weeks had bookings for 9, 10 and 12 week appointments. But they do 12 week scans up to week 14. Id give them a chase if I were worried though.

Phew! Okay thanks guys that’s put my mind at rest 😂 I’m really feeling in the dark at the moment as I haven’t been given any number/ contact to reach out to if I did ever have any issues or questions- I’m going to mention it at my booking appointment next week because I have no way of contacting anyone at the moment.

I literally had my first appointment on thurs I was 10+2 and was told NHS scans are between 11 and 14 weeks I got my first scan booked immediately after my first appointment I will be 12+2 for my scan. I dont think the private scan was correct in that it will be too late for screening but if you are worried talk to your midwife at your appointment

I got a call the day after my booking appointment from the hospital saying that my scan had been booked. I’m having it next week at exactly 12 weeks. Harder said than done but try not to panic. Any screening wanted/ needed will be done in plenty of time, if your booking appointment is booked then they will be aware of how far along you are and will make sure you get what you need x
