Perineal massage

Does anyone actually do the perineal massage? I’m 37 weeks and 3 days and to be honest, I’m struggling to get it done. I find it uncomfortable and when it comes to doing it after a bath/ shower, I just want to settle down and relax rather than do that 🥲 I obviously don’t want to have a bad tear either if I manage to have a vaginal birth. What are everyone’s thoughts?

I did it. Well, my husband did it. lol. But yes, I was pretty consistent with it. With my 2nd, when I was younger, I tore up and not down and had to have surgery to fix it after 6 week pp. once that happen, I really tried to be more consistent and I didn’t tear at all with #3 or #4

I did it with my first (2nd degree tear) and am dying the Aniball this time. A friend used it with both hers and only “scratched” during her first pregnancy, and nothing the second.
My baby is measuring big, so I’m praying this helps somewhat 😂

I wasn’t consistent with it either. Hubby did it maybe twice. But I had a second degree tear and recovery was not fun. I def recommend trying to do it

Aaargh, baby’s turned up 🫠

Was feeling very smug as baby’s been sitting beautifully head down from 28 weeks, right in the pelvis… had an appointment this morning at 34 weeks and she’s turned breech! I could already tell as I felt the head high up, and the kicking has felt different. Has this happened to anybody else, and did babe turn back again? I was hoping for a VBAC, but I draw the line at a breech VBAC 😅

Cramp

I woke up the other night with extreme cramp in my calf, it eased after a while but I can still feel it a few days later. My calf just feels so tight.

Anyone else experience this? And what can I do to help?

6 week check

I just had my 6 week check for me and baby, Is it normal for them not to see ur c section scar? It was a very quick appointment for me where they asked if my mood was okay and if I wanted contraception. I’m just guessing that I’m now able to get a bath, lightly exercise ect…

Stubborn October babes?

Has anyone else got a seriously stubborn bubba who seems to have absolutely NO intention of making an appearance? 😂😭

I’m 40+6, 3cm dilated, had 3 sweeps, lost A LOT of mucus, and had 3 evenings of contractions after my second sweep… only for everything to completely stop and NOTHING since! 🫠

Now I’ve got an induction booked for Monday, so it looks like our October baby girl might just become a November baby girl! 🍂🤎

At this point, I think she’s far too comfy in there… but Mumma has officially had ENOUGH! 😂🤰🏼
