We started with a cm but ended up with a nursery. Our first cm became pregnant and then our second also became pregnant. We were also at the point where my son was delayed speech wise and wanted more social interaction. I hated having to work our holidays when the cm had off. Also it felt less pressure on me to do groups when my son was at nursery. From a safety point of view nursery as my son was a runner as the cm found out taking him to the park.

Our eldest went to a nursery, and I think it was brilliant for him. Our youngest was supposed to also go to nursery but they let us down last minute so we had a bit of a scrabble to find childcare, and I ended up finding a childminder who could take them both. I actually think for my youngest a childminder was the better option, she was a lot clingier than my eldest and I think the smaller “home from home” setting suited her much more than a nursery would have, so it worked out for the best.
There are pros and cons to both, so I think it’s about looking at the options and deciding which is a better fit for the child to be honest ☺️

I think it depends on child. My 1 year old is pretty advanced and i would want whomever is structured, planned, and will help her learn.
