How are we all managing to keep on top of housework, cook healthy meals, be present for our husbands and babies/children, work out and look good? Am I missing something because omg I feel like I'm drowning a bit at the moment 😂

Don’t forget going back to work or working as well xx

To try earn money for bills as well it’s hard work 😓

It's super tough, especially if you're on your own without help from your or your husband's parents. I try to do my best, but let's be honest, my baby boy is a high-need baby and needs my attention constantly. If I try to cook dinner, he will scream the entire time until I pick him up. My stress and anger levels are too high, so I give up on food. 🤭🫣🙃 Thanks God I have my husband, who is super supportive and feeds me well. 🤣🤣

It’s so hard 😭
I don’t have any advice other than I use the slow cooker alot, and try to do cleaning bits whilst my little one eats in her high chair I quickly potter about the kitchen etc 😆

It’s a lot but I try to make things easy for myself and find little hacks like batch cooking so food lasts a few days I make a tray bake of veggies, some rice or pasta, protein of choice, curries or bakes that can last a few days.
In terms of working out I try to fit in home workouts when my daughters napping or if I want to chill out when she’s sleeping I’ll try do it in the day she sometimes finds it entertaining other times wants me to stop 🤣 then once a week my husband has my daughter when he’s not working and I go to the gym, I also count my outings with daughter as exercise as I do a lot of walking
I’m sure you’re doing amazing for your child don’t overthink it too much (easier said than done I know).
Your still in the really early stages and honestly at 5 months I was still in like fight or flight mode you’ll start making your own routines etc and get in the flow of things

I babywear when doing housework, she gets a front row seat to the hoovering and seems to love it 😂
In terms of working out, I don’t go to the gym or anything - I did pre pregnancy - but for now I’m doing home workouts during naps and lots of walking
For meals as the weather is nicer I’m just repeating quick and easy chicken salads/chicken wraps etc
But it’s still so hard to get everything in - some days are easier than others for sure. Just find what routine works for you and don’t be too hard on yourself if something doesn’t get done everyday

I thought this was helpful - a Nursery nurse said don't feel like you need to/ feel pressure to play/ read/ sing to baby all day. Being in your presence is what they need and chatting to them about what you are up to i.e. cleaning kitchen/ what different items are called etc. Give them some household items to play with ie bowls, containers, whisk, spoon, sponges, cloths, watering can in garden for them to occupy themselves with while you are busy getting jobs done in same room/ garden and as they get older get them to help you with what you are doing. They don't need lots of toys.
This really helped me to hear this, feel less guilty, get jobs done and feel less frustrated and more content!
