Mum friends

Has anyone actually made friends on here? Like actual friends that you meet up with ect.

I just find that people either don’t respond or the conversation just fades after 3 or 4 messages.

Of course people have busy lives and being mum is 24/7 but everyone has in their bio “want mum friends”

Is it just me? .. 😂

I’m a proud mummy to a beautiful 3-month-old baby boy 🥹💙 I had a C-section, and it wasn’t easy, but God saw me through, and my partner has been such an amazing support during my healing journey.

How are we all managing to keep on top of housework, cook healthy meals, be present for our husbands and babies/children, work out and look good? Am I missing something because omg I feel like I'm drowning a bit at the moment 😂

Unpopular opinion

I fcking love being in my 30s. I don’t give a fck about anything 😅 . I’m literally the most content I’ve ever been. This morning on the way to school, my teen asked me, (back story: I drive a PAID OFF 2017 Toyota Corolla- my baby mind you) and was like mom aren’t you embarrassed that you’re driving such an old car 😂 I had to catch the “fck no” before it flew out of my mouth lmao. Then I realized I actually don’t give a rats ass about much anymore. As long as, me and mines are happy, fed, healthy, have what we need etc IM GOOD!

Any other recovering people pleasers struggling with friendships?

I’ve always been a bit of a people pleaser/doormat, and it’s something I’ve been trying to work on ahead of becoming a mother. I tend to seek friends who are good at communicating their own feelings and boundaries thinking they will know how to hold space for mine in turn. But this blew up in my face quite recently, and it’s left me feeling quite shaken and fearful to get close to people again.

Has anyone else experienced/struggled with this, especially when moving into motherhood? My friends are all either younger or earlier in their journeys and I worry that this next part of my life might become quite lonely.

Lonely and struggling to make mum friends

Hi Ladies,
How is everyone finding it making mum friends?
I'm on my second mat leave and I honestly didn't think it would be this hard. Our NCT from baby #1 never got off the ground for various reasons and this time around I'm being proactive in attending baby groups/classes but nothing seems to work in helping me find my 'tribe'.
I went to a baby group this morning (second visit) and honestly came away feeling more lonely than ever before as everyone seemed to know eachother from other places. I feel like all the generic baby chat can be so superficial and it's hard to reach any relational depth with people.

I am so tired of putting myself out there and making an effort to go to places/groups to meet other mums yet never feeling a connection to anyone i meet. I was hoping that by this stage in motherhood (4 years in) I would have made a few solid friends but my god it's hard.
Anyone else relate or have any suggestions? X
