My daughter is 15 months old and we just put her in her new crib today and she positively REFUSES to nap at all. We’ve tried just about everything we can think of. This started before we even changed out her sleeping arrangement. She’s never fought sleeping like this before, ever. She woke up twice in the middle of the night last night, highly unusual. And now she’s fighting her only nap. What on earth am I supposed to do? I’ve tried googling it and all I get is “soothe and reset” well I tried and nothing worked 😭 it’s not like she’s nonstop crying when she’s awake but she is really fussy. This is driving me insane. Pls tell me someone else has experienced this before.

My daughter is 8 and a half months, and we've been going through this for a while. She co-slept for a while, and before/during that she was used to a bassinet, so she absolutely hated her crib. Now she's acclimated some, but I still can't get her to go to sleep in there on her own.
To get her acclimated I'd put he in the crib and read to her, then leave the room in increasing shifts of time. I've been rocking her to sleep and then transferring her to the crib once she's asleep. Right now she's still not sleeping through the night, so I have to repeat this in the middle of the night. She got sick last week so that interrupted our transition, I had her almost sleeping through the night after a week.
I totally get how frustrating it is though.

I'm sorry. I hope it gets better soon

If you have a bedtime routine, you can start to do some of those 30 min before her nap. For my 15 mth old son we go for a short stroller walk, come inside and read a book, then I turn on the sound machine and say “baba” and “time for sleeping”. We turn off the lights (we have blackout blinds and curtains) and he is normally asleep after 5 min. If he is having a really hard time I will put him in a short bath.
