Please help how to do a food shop with a 4 month old! At the moment I put her car seat in a shallow trolley and can only buy limited stuff till its full and fill my massive bag on the hook which isn't enough. She can't sit up so can't go in the sit up ones, I can't wear her for that long takes about 15 minutes and my back feels like its going to break, the pram storage only holds limited stuff I wonder if I'm missing something obvious? I know you can get ones to put the car seat in but there's never been one available when I've been! Any help would be grateful

At that age I did the main food shop online for delivery and we just went out to pick up little bits together with the pushchair

Tesco click and collect has been very smooth for major shopping then I go in for little things I forgot. Less load, less time in the shop, less stress too💚

I used click and collect or home delivery. Made life so much easier!

Some super markets have trollies with baby seats you transfer them into. Tescos doesnt have many but lidl tend to have quite a few! You have to go to the big ones though, smaller ones dont do them annoyingly

Online for a big shop

Click and collect all the way. When my first was young Aldi had a click and collect service that was brilliant. We now do a split shop and click and collect from Tesco and then I send hubby to aldi with a list of what is cheaper there. He can handle a whizz round the supermarket with a specific list.

I put baby in a wrap or carrier when I went grocery shopping and only brought the car seat if it was a small trip. Easiest was to do your large trips and the ask for an employee to help you get your stuff to and in the car. 99% of the time they’ll send someone out to help you

If your baby carrier is hurting after 15 minutes it’s probably worth finding a professional to do a fitting for you (try a sling library if you’re in the UK), because it shouldn’t be hurting you if fitted correctly. Baby carrier is what I use in the supermarket.

I'm not sure if all carts/trollies are the same everywhere, but in Canada, carseats can fit on top of the cart. Like where bigger kids sit, you open it up to create the base. The only downfall is if you're short like me, it hinders your view.

It shouldn't hurt to baby wear
