Obviously every kid is different so might not work but mine is super into mega blocks...shell sit for like 20 minutes putting them together and taking them apart. I made a sensory bin thats just a storage container that she sits in and its filled with cheerios and rice crispies and different bowls and utensils and she just sits in there and plays with it (bonus snacks). She has a table and chair that she likes to sit at and will use her paint brush with water on a book of paint by water haha
Shes very into pretend play so we have a bunch of stuffies and baby dolls and she "feeds them" and puts them in their stroller and walks them around the house. We also got a veggie/fruit kit with knives that she can use to "cut them open". Its also getting nice out so we got a water table set up outside and she will play in that forever

Staff ratio at nursery

What is the legal requirement of staff to children ratio for a nursery with children aged 2-5 all in the same room?

Recently I was told where I was thinking of sending my son the ratio is 10:1 (children to staff)

I visited a room with 2-3 year olds and the ratio was 5:1 (staff to children)

How is it legal to then just add on another 5 because others are older you still have to care for the 2 year olds. Does the older children suddenly mean they can have 6 2 year olds and 4 4 year olds with 1 key worker?

Advise would be great thanks

Again something I never thought my daughter would like

I gave her one because she kept staring at me eating. She's had 5 since. She's 10.5 months. My 3 yo refused to even eat the rice because it touched a chip.

Is anyone else in this same space?

So I have a 6 month old and in a long distance marriage. My husband was only able to stay for a month after the baby was born before leaving for work. I have been raising my son alone and this has caused a lot of strain between me and my husband. He just doesn’t seem to understand how much effort it’s taking me to raise our baby. I’m so irritated I feel like divorcing him.

Living in a flat with little ones

For those of you who live in a flat, do you use the communal garden as your 'garden' and if so what's your set up like? Just need some inspo🥰

How do you know when your marriage is emotionally over?

I’ve been feeling really lonely in my relationship for a long time. We have a child together, so I keep trying to stay calm and make things work, but emotionally I feel disconnected.

My partner can be inconsistent, avoid serious conversations, and act like everything is normal after problems happen. I feel like I’m expected to move on without anything actually changing. It makes me feel tired, hurt, and unsure of what the future even looks like.

I don’t hate him, but I also don’t feel safe emotionally or supported the way I need to be. I feel like I’m only still here because of our child, not because the relationship feels healthy.

Has anyone else stayed in a relationship mostly because of the kids? How did you know whether to keep trying or start accepting that it was over?
