This is currently my situation, as soon as baby turned 14 days old onwards!

Really common for babies to get fussy in the evenings through to night time.

A bath chills mine out, and if he really won’t settle we go ahead with bedtime and I just read or doom-scroll or have an early night. It will pass, try not to worry or let it get to you too much :) x

Welcome to the witching hours 🫠❤️ it lasts a few weeks then will suddenly stop. Hang in there.

Getting out for a walk with headphones in is a good way to not hear the crying.

You're doing great ❤️❤️

Edit: with my first it was 5-11 every night for a few weeks. It does pass!! Xxx

Mine is now just over 3 weeks and is slightly calmer from 5. Still wants to be held the whole time but is happy for cuddles on the sofa not constant movement which is what we did have

Yup!! First growth spurt, cluster feeds .
Still going through it at 3.5 weeks.

People say watch for over tiredness and over stimulating but honestly don’t know how to stop it

how are you managing to get an early night?

Im stuck glued to a chair breastfeeding on/off

I have read its quite common but my god i cant wait for it to pass!

Was hoping someone would say been there.... lasted a few nights then calmed down 😬

My daughter (3yo) just woke up terrified at 4:30am...

She got out of bed screaming, me and my partner went in her room and she was terrified saying something was in her bed. I looked and she peed her bed so I assumed it was just that. She refused to get back in bed she was literally shaking she was so scared... I brought her in my room and she did the same thing when I tried to put the blanket on... She won't let me put her down at all... I had to ask my partner to call off work because I also have an 8mo...she keeps saying it's a wormy and wormy bit her on the leg. Theres no bite, I thought maybe a snake got in but I dont see anything in her room... She is just so scared and I don't know what to do... Everytime I out her on my bed she creeks out... And even when we hold her occasionally she still freaks out saying the wormy is back... I don't know what scare dher but it scared her good...

Contact Naps

When did your baby stop contact napping? My son is 21 weeks old and still only contact naps. He won’t go down for a nap at all. He sleeps in his next to me at bedtime but not during the day he wakes up straight away.

Was anyone else’s baby the same? What did you do to change it? I don’t mind the contact naps at all I love that he only sleeps on me. However I’m sick of not being able to get anything done during the day when I’m on my own.

Pumping Issues

Hey Mommas,

I started breastfeeding in the hospital and baby latched really well for about a day until circumstances at the hospital forced us to provide a bottle to baby and now he doesn’t take directly. I’m about a month out and am pumping virtually nothing. I’m getting really frustrated and want to get my supply back up. Any solid advice outside of eating more protein, more water, or pumping more often? I’m worried it’s just over for me. 😞

Delayed at two year check

What happens if your child flags up as delayed at their two year check?

We have ours on thursday and i know my little one is delayed. I have reached out to the HV on numerous occasions since he was 14 months old and just got told we would have an early one and he finally got one at 26 months.

Muslins

Is anyone else's baby completely obsessed with muslin cloth?

My 17 week old will just chew and play with them, she has all the toys and teethers she could possibly want but no.... Just a muslin will keep her happy and entertained. 😂 She also likes to nap with one during the day (doesn't have one at night).

I'm not sure if she could also be teething though, could I wet and freeze a small muslin to give to her to help? Or maybe dip one in breast milk and then freeze?

Sleep regression hell

This is actually impossible. She just wouldn’t sleep last night, like the whole night 🫣 she had to be held but still woke up every 10 minutes or less for the entire night. She won’t go in the pram for a nap (we’ve never cracked a cot nap) so is in the carrier but has been shouting at me for an hour. I am SO overstimulated and touched out and it’s not even midday 🙃 how long did your regression last if you’re out the other side please xx
