I have my elective C section booked in for Friday 29th. I am worried I’ll be made to stay in until the Monday due to the weekend even if all goes well. Has anyone been discharged on a Sunday?

When I was in hospital after my c section there was another woman who had a c section on the same day (a Saturday) and she was discharge next day. As long as your can get up and walk and are urinating by yourself and have no complications they won’t keep you in longer than necessary

If all goes well you’ll be discharged after 24 hours.

That’s not how it works at all, I had my daughter on a Friday and was discharged on Sunday evening x

It also depends on if your baby is delivered before 37week also

I had my son on the Monday morning and then I was discharged on the Tuesday afternoon x

Great thanks all!

I had an emergency c section late (11pm) on the Saturday so it went into the Sunday morning and I was discharged on the Monday. As long as there’s no complications and you and baby are healthy there’s no reason to keep you in.

From working in NHS itself, they will want you out of the bed as soon as you and baby are well x

I had emergency c section and was sent home next day x

I was discharged 9pm Christmas Eve! Weekend or bank holiday it doesn’t matter, the NHS is a 24/7 powerhouse so you’ll likely be home Saturday anyway.

I was discharged on a Sunday, granted i was in longer due to other complications but the day I was actually discharged it was a Sunday at like 8pm so I don't think it matters really on the day of the week or time of day

I had an emergency section and was discharged after 24hours. My boy was born at 36 weeks and all was fine. They need the beds so they wont be letting you stay longer unless something is of concern.

I was discharged on a Sunday after having an emergency CS on a Saturday x

It all depends on your and your babies wellbeing. I had an unplanned c section on a Thursday and we left hospital on sunday afternoon

I just want a beautiful bump

I'm just so jealous of everyone and their beautiful bumps.
This is baby number 4 and I just look fat and horrible!!! I've never had a "bump" just got bigger..... if you didn't know I was 5 months pregnant you wouldn't guess. I'm so fed up of feeling this way

Cramping

Hi! Im 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and keep feeling some low dull cramps, almost like pre period cramps? I still have really bad nausea and stuff but panicking the cramps are a bad sign. Had a scan at 7+6 and baby was measuring perfect with a heartbeat too, but still worried :( any one and the same boat? Xx

Jeans post c section?

Hi y’all ! When do you start wearing jeans after a c section? I’m 3 weeks pp and really struggling to feel like myself in sweats and leggings 🥲 I bought some high waisted jeans in a size up, they fit fairly comfortably and I can move around in them. Just wondering when others started wearing tighter clothes? It doesn’t rest on my incision at all - above my belly button!
