Wanting to upgrade from cot, my son will be coming up to 2 1/2yrs when I upgrade his bed.
I need something with storage as the room is small.

I wouldn't put my 2 year old in a bed like that just because she gets out of bed when she wakes and if she's just woke up she wouldn't be able to climb down but it depends if you think your child would be ok.

I think deep down its probably not a good idea, I was just hopeful others might comment and say its been fine for their young toddler if they have dine something similar i guess hes just going to have to lose his playroom š«

Does the side not come off your cot? Could you maybe upgrade to a smaller secondhand toddler bed with new mattress and then upgrade to this when he's a bit older?

My little boy is 4.5, but I think I'd wait until he was 5 for something like this as he still walks into our room in the morning/middle of the night and I'd be worried he fell whilst we were asleep, especially in the night with the lights off.

We have a floor bed for our 3 year old. Doesnāt offer any storage, but she still gets out of bed regularly during the night, so for us, we wouldnāt be comfortable with this style bed yet
