I’m sooo pissed off, has this happened to anyone else?

So I have been absolutely killing it at my job. I had my performance review today and I thought I would be getting a raise because I asked my boss about it prior to this meeting. Apparently, they only had funding to hire external employees. She said she should have the funding in July or August for internal but also on that same call she asked me to train the new hires that are above me so how am I good enough to train new hires for a position that’s higher than mine but I’m not qualified to get that position. I don’t understand. My performance review was absolutely fantastic. I got exceeded expectations and my boss said only one other person at my level got exceeded expectations. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m so pissed.

could you not get the contract signed and completed with the agreement you will get the raise in July and in turn you will train the new employees?

I had this issue as an accountant for a while. They refused to promote me, but hired a “senior accountant” over me, higher pay, and have me train her.
I pretty much had to do the professional ultimatum directly to my CEO. I got another job offer for more and posed it to him that I was going to leave for that due to the blatant disrespect of internal employee and internal growth opportunities that I was told existed but then didn’t when reviews came about. Now this was smaller company. I didn’t get a BIG raise but I got half of what I asked for and then requested another review after she was trained to add the rest once completed and moving forward.

Hey bestie!

Looking for a mom bestie who actually texts back and doesn’t make it weird 😭 just easy convo, no awkward pauses, no overthinking replies like we can talk about life, kids, chaos, and random nonsense without it feeling like a job interview. Bonus if we can be funny and consistent 🫶 I want a real friend, not an off and on situation LOLL 😭

Flying when 24 weeks pregnant

Hi all, looking for some tips and advice. I need to fly for work to Germany so short haul with Lufthansa.

Am wondering if anyone else flew around this time and whether you were ok without a fit to fly note? I won't need one as I'll be before 28 weeks but wondering if anyone had difficulty proving this with the airline?

Don't want to pay for a private NHS fit to fly letters (my GP doesn't do them!) when I don't need one but also worried they won't believe me that I'm only 24 weeks (I'm quite big as it's my second!).

Did you notify the airline in advance? Wondering if I need to for any help with my bag or is this done at check in, or not done at all!

Any advice appreciated! Many thanks.

Best gifts for 3+

If you have a child who has already had their third birthday - what was the best gift they got? And I'm talking about stuff that kept their interest (even if on and off) for over 6 months.

Sahm

I’m feeling as though no one will employ me when my lo goes to school. Can’t even think straight no idea how I’ll get through interviews. Worried I’ve deskilled myself completely.

Constantly attached

Anyone else finding it absolutely exhausting just being constantly attached to your baby? Literally cleaning one handed or having an audience to watch you shit, eat and shower? Feel like I don’t get more than 5 minutes away from him at the moment
