Flying when 24 weeks pregnant

Hi all, looking for some tips and advice. I need to fly for work to Germany so short haul with Lufthansa.

Am wondering if anyone else flew around this time and whether you were ok without a fit to fly note? I won't need one as I'll be before 28 weeks but wondering if anyone had difficulty proving this with the airline?

Don't want to pay for a private NHS fit to fly letters (my GP doesn't do them!) when I don't need one but also worried they won't believe me that I'm only 24 weeks (I'm quite big as it's my second!).

Did you notify the airline in advance? Wondering if I need to for any help with my bag or is this done at check in, or not done at all!

Any advice appreciated! Many thanks.

I flew at 34 weeks. My midwife gave me a fit to fly for free. I wasn’t asked for it once though. I think you will be fine and if they ask how many weeks show your maternity notes if have them online. What help with your bag will you need? I don’t think they provide any assistance for pregnancy

I flew out for work at 25 and back at 28 and got a fit to fly but the airline didnt actually ask for it at any point. As i was travelling for work though, my company did cover the cost involved so may be worth seeing if yours would do the same?

I was the same that no GP or midwife would do them so I asked where I had been for a private scan and she sorted it for me x

I flew at 24 weeks and was fine. The airline out didn't ask anything and the return airline asked how far along I was and where I was sitting but that was it 😊

I’m 23 weeks currently flying home now and didn’t get asked either way but I wore a baggy jumper. I did see the airline ask a women with her bump out and she got asked how far she was

I flew at 28/29 weeks and midwife gave me a letter but never needed it! I just wore a baggy jumper 🤣

You can always take your MatB1 form with you as that has your due date on it, just in case anyone asks

Your best bet is to reach out to the airline directly to confirm, then if you do get any questions you can show them the correspondence. 24weeks should be fine without a fit note though

I flew at 23 recently my midwife gave me one for free but no one asked for it x

I flew at 30 weeks and wasnt asked, I had got a fit to fly from my GP (£40) just incase as I was worried about them turning me away. The easyjet rules were that I could fly without a fit to fly letter but I didnt want to risk missing put on my final holiday haha!
If the rules of the airline are that they dont need one, your green notes will show how far you are if they want to confirm

I flew at 24 weeks to Dubai and back and didn’t get asked. I wore baggy clothes though so not sure if it was that noticeable 😅

It’s my birthday and I have no friends.

It makes me so sad. It’s so hard to keep up with a full time job, my son, the endless tasks, my relationship, my ill parents, no village, no help. I had a close best friend I grew up with, but she went through a major life change in the past year and hasn’t been the same for a while.

It’s hard to feel insignificant when I feel alone so often. It’s hard to see others have friends and people they can be themselves around. I want it so badly.

Just a tearful vent. Thank you if you have taken the time to read it.

How can I leave

Few months ago I found out my fiance cheated on me during my pregnancy and even after not even a month after I had my second baby with him. I really don’t think I can stay with him after this betrayal during my most vulnerable time when I should be enjoying motherhood and my babies. I just don’t know how to leave for good. I keep pushing and pulling and I’m scared I’m going to regret my decision if I leave him. Does this get better? How can I feel confident in my decision to leave? 💔😔
