You could contact universal credit, explain your circumstances and see if they can provide an advance payment or a loan? It’s worth a shot at least. Definitely call them rather than writing in your journal as you’ll have a better chance to explain your circumstances x

Or try and find a food bank local to you? Absolutely no shame in using them, we all struggle sometimes and you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do at the end of the day x

I know the feeling! I normally work around 35hrs a week but I’m now on maternity leave. I knew pay was terrible on maternity leave but I forgot know it was this bad. Giving kids nutritional meals costs so much, their clothing costs so much even secondhand/charity shops. I really dread looking in my account x
