17 Months Sleep..

Hi mummas,

I’m overwhelmed 😩

I’m a first time mum my son is 17 months.. he’s constantly around me, I’m also a single parent who can only rely on myself. No family or friends to help.

I am trying to put a routine for my son, he has had a routine but always falling asleep next to me. I’m trying to change this so he can go sleep alone.

Please any help will be great.

I have tried the crying method but I feel guilt and keep giving in 😩 help!!

Hey ! I can’t speak on personal experience, as my baby is rocked to sleep / not sleep trained. However my friend said she did the Ferber method (hope I’ve spelt that right) where you leave it a minute or two, go and console them and then leave again, gradually increasing the times you go in and help if they are sad.
You could also try a gradual room leave , where you sit next to the cot, and every day gradually move away until you are out of the room. Unsure if this works!!
I know it’s difficult, but one day something will click and he will just get it! Xx

Co sleeping babies and nursery

Hi everyone. I’m worrying a little about my 9 month old who is due to start nursery in 2 months time. We have co slept since he was born and no matter how hard I have tried to transition him to his own room and crib over the last few months, he does not settle. We’ve tried everything other than the ferber method which I’m just not comfortable with if I’m completely honest.

I fear I have shot myself in the foot however as I’m worried how my LO will cope with sleep at nursery. Has anyone else been in this position before? And how did your babies cope with the transition?

Mmr private

Hello mums who have gone private to get the mmr instead of the mmrv vaccines. We’ve decided to go private as my daughter has already had chicken pox. Curious, will you get the second dose at 18 months or delay to 3 years like it was previously for our older kids?

Have you seen this episode and do you have any sympathy for the parents?

They said their baby usually has a 2 hour nap around that time so they thought she would just sleep in the tent and then lost track of time...

Any mums out there with phobias? How did you get over your phobias? And any tips on how to not pass them onto your little one?

Sleep regression

My little girl is 4.5 months old. I’m in week 2 of what I think is the 4 month sleep regression. Does it normally go on for this long?! #struggling
