90th centile to 5th centile

I had the fundal height checked at 26 weeks and baby was measuring on the 90th centile, had an appt yesterday and he was measured at the 5th centile, so no growth at all in the last three weeks. i’ve been referred for a growth scan but have an upcoming scan in a few weeks anyway, has this happened to anyone else? My last baby was over 8lbs, and i feel like im getting bigger, movements are getting stronger etc, im just panicking as they said they placenta may not be working properly!!!

Try and stay calm until you have the scan - the tape measurement is such an inexact science. It's not quite the same thing but my FH measurement was 95th% so I got sent for a scan and baby is super average size (just below actually!), normal fluid etc.

Lots of trusts don't do fundal height at all any more as it's so unreliable.

My boy did this. His growth “slowed down” and they thought my placenta was failing. Went in for an induction and there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. A healthy boy weighing 6lb 14 oz at 40 weeks. Please try not to worry until they tell you it’s time to worry and enjoy the last few months of pregnancy.

Fundal height measurements aren't accurate at all. Neither are scans.

C section with toddler

I am booked in for my planned c section in 3 days and I’m starting to get scared 🙈 I also have a toddler who will be 2 next month. I have an amazing partner too. I just know how much pain I was in last time & im starting to freak out the closer it’s getting. I had a c section last time so I know what to expect but I also didn’t have a toddler last time 🙈 I feel sad that I might not be able to pick him up for a while & properly play with him 😭 I don’t want my toddler to think I’m a bad Mumma 😭❤️ anyone able to offer any reassurance would mean a lot ❤️

C section is tomorrow morning and i am so scared . 😂

This is my 3rd baby, first one had an emergency c section at 41+6. / second baby vaginal ( traumatic ) at 37+2.. Tomorrow i will be 38+2 and decided to go for elective c section.. i am so freaking scared 😱. My last section was 10 years ago and i don’t really remember the pain or the healing process.. any advice ?
