From my experience, my son gets along better with kids who did go/goes to daycare/preschool. In terms of the way those kids being open to play, chat, turn taking/sharing. At least that’s what I observed so far, compared to other kids.

Nope, my daughter didn’t go to nursery until she was 3 and only for a day a week. She’s far more outgoing and confident than many of her peers that went to nursery 5 days a week from being 9 months old. It’s down to the individual child.

My son started nursery at 2.5 & I will say he has gotten SO much more social and is great at making friends now wherever we go, whereas pre-nursery he was definitely not like that, more shy & happy to play on his own. That could also be an age thing though. My son really only interacts with children who go to nursery so I can’t speak on other children.

My son has been in nursery since he was 1, so I'm not criticising anyone that does send their children, but amongst his friends I've not found it to be true at all that those at nursery are more social. His friends who have been at home until at least 3 years old are far more confident and social than those who've been at nursery since they were young.
