they don’t enjoy colouring for long, painting is messy, writing no, play doh is fun but not for me to join in with them.. lol they don’t enjoy reading they don’t have bikes or scooters for parks and i find it hard to go anywhere by myself

We do baking. Lots of water play (with towel underneath to avoid mess) we go outside quite a lot as I find it hard being in the house as he gets bored easily. But we do read a fair bit too. Have you got room for a tuff tray? They are brilliant as you can change them regularly and keeps them busy for AGES!!

Anything toddler safe in the kitchen is a winner for my LG. Her fave is a mixing bowl, wooden spoons and some lemons/limes.
Dried pasta/rice/lentils etc in a tub with small bowls/cups/scoop.
I second baking, we do a lot.
Get them involved in what you’re doing - she loves to load/unload the washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher and can program my machine to my specifications now 😂
Have you got an outside space they can dig/plant things in?

Kleptomaniac‼️

I’m not sure how to say this, it’s pretty embarrassing hence the incog, but I’m at a complete loss.

My husband is a total kleptomaniac!

I’m finding it so difficult and uncomfortable whenever we go out because he just can’t help himself. It’s always petty stuff, he doesn’t need it half the time, and even then it’s not like we can’t afford it. But he just can’t help it!

Sometimes I catch him doing it and shoot him a look without being to obvious but he thinks it’s funny. Once we’re out the shop the same conversation/lecture happens where I ask him why he’s doing it and that he needs to stop, but he laughs it off. Other times I literally don’t see a thing and am in complete shock but I aways feel embarrassed.

He’s been caught once or twice but nothing serious has happened. One of these days I can see him getting into a lot of trouble for it but he can’t see it that way, he gets such a kick out of it.

What do I do?

Why do so many of ya'll assume a SAHD is a pedo, a loser, or just trying to steal you all from your husbands?

Could it be possible that SAHD's just love thir kids, need a support system, and want their children to be able to have playdates and friends?
My SAHD doesnt want you or your children. So stop banning my kid from playdates and socialization souly because of whats in his pants.

Husband says I blew him off.

Yesterday Mother’s Day, husband said I can do whatever I want to do since it’s mother’s days. So I decide to do a video crafting session with my twin and had a friend join who I haven’t talked to in a long time. Well husband decided to play a game last night and got done around 9pm. Sundays are our normal hangout nights for me and the husband. Well he was playing his game so I decided to stay talking to my twin. He calls me after he finished his game around 9pm. I tell him I’m still talking to people he gets mad. Mind you we don’t have to do our thing on Sundays. Well I finish up with my twin around 9:30. I go to find him to do our thing and he’s passed out in bed. Well fast forward to this morning he’s pissed at me and ignoring me saying that I blew him off last night. And I’m like I told you what I was doing, you told me that I’m free to do whatever I want with the day. And now he’s being a dick to me. Like how am I in the wrong?

Nursery advice.

Long post.

My daughter was on a waiting list to join a nursery, we managed to get her a place and we was so excited for her to start in September.

Unfortunately, my partner was made redundant (his workplace was right next door to the nursery and suited the hours) so I emailed to cancel her place… which I definitely rushed into without thinking.

We’ve now made arrangements for her to go to this nursery so I emailed to see if she can still rejoin and explained the situation. Do you think this nursery will still accept her if a space is available still?

Tax free childcare

I have applied for the childcare funding which has been approved, I had a message to say I should hear regarding tax free childcare within 7 days but it has been nearly 3 weeks, just wondered how long it has taken other mums to hear back and if I should
