Morning drinks

What are people drinking in the morning to help get them up and out of bed?

My current routine has me going to sleep at 10pm waking at 2am 4am 6am. I’m able to wake for the 2am and 4am but have no energy and sleep through the 6am until around 8am everyday.

Really I need to get up at 6am and out of bed to get myself and children ready to go nursery ect.

I’m wondering if there’s anything people are doing to help get them up? I’ve tried water that doesn’t help and I don’t have the energy to get up and downstairs to make a coffee. I have a small fridge in my room I’m putting pumped milk in during the night so could put something cold in for the morning just not sure what.

Lucozade sport (not the fizzy one) - also I use tired eye spray in the mornings to help me feel less groggy :)

Weaning off breastfeeding- tell me your stories.

I want to hear from people who thought it was going to be impossible to wean their baby off the boob but who have now successfully done it.
How did you do it? 😂 I’m so done 13 months in. I go back to work soon and my little boy is all of a sudden just all on me. And feeding him- he just wants to pull my hair, stick his fingers up my nose, climb on me. I’m doneeeee, but feel like it’s impossible to wean him.

“Cry it out”

The idea of letting my baby (6 months old, now) cry-it-out is keeping me up, tonight. Every doctor’s appointment, the doctors suggest that method and make me feel like I’m not doing a good enough job with my baby because he wakes up every 4-5 hours (rarely 3 hours) in the night. Really he wakes up just one time in the night, technically. Thinking about him getting red-faced, tears and snot streaming, him screaming- not understanding what’s going on, until he’s too stressed makes me sick to my stomach. But apparently I’m doing him and me an injustice by not sleep training? I just don’t know what to do.

Siblings sharing a bed

What’s everyone’s view on sisters sharing a double bed with a 4-year age gap?

I’ve just had a baby girl, and we also have a stepdaughter and son who stay with us every other week. We’re looking at moving house, and the girls will be sharing a room. My stepdaughter has said she’d love a big bed so she can share with her little sister, and honestly I really love the idea because I want them to have as close a bond as possible — especially as they won’t be together every night since the older two aren’t with us full time.

I’m just curious what other people think about this and whether it’s something you’d do?

Mom Rage

I feel horrible because I just yelled at my almost 3 year old daughter for being upset that I trimmed her hair. I’ve been struggling a lot lately with irritability, rage, and it’s just comes out mostly on my kids and husband since they’re the ones I’m around all the time. I am a full time mom, so I don’t know if the rage builds up from the duties and things that I do every day. I just feel like my irritability and rage are worsening. I just get so frustrated sometimes and end up screaming at everyone. My toddler tonight even tried to explain to me that she was upset because I cut her hair & honestly I didnt want to listen but now that everyone is sleep and the house is quiet the guilt is building. I don’t want her to have all these memories of me yelling at her but I’m sure she will… I just feel like there might be something more wrong with me than just stress, hormones…

I would appreciate any advice 😞

Nappy leaks

My little one is 8 months and is leaking through the night which is obviously causing him to wake. Any nappy recommendations? We’ve tried Rascals & Pampers premium. We’ve just sized up in Pampers premium hoping it’d help but he’s still leaking 😫
