Have to have a c section against wishes

Ive been told i have to have a c section due to high blood pressure , i was told it would be on the 21st may when i will be 36 weeks , ive already have the steriod injections but still havent been given an actual time for the c section , i was just wondering how soon before the c section should you get the details .

Starting to panic now as its only 8 days away and ive had no information

You’ve already had the steroids? I was told they had to be within 24 hours - 7 days before birth and no earlier because they become pointless

Can’t help with timing side unfortunately as I’m still waiting for my date but it was mentioned I’d get both date and time when called to confirm 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you don’t want a C-section you don’t have to have one don’t let them force you. Blood pressure can be monitored and then if it gets worse action can be taken

Do you mind me asking what your BP has roughly been? I’m sorry it’s such a stressful for you. Xx

I’ve had high blood pressure on and off during my pregnancy which is now being controlled by medication, but I saw a consultant today and he said pregnancy related high blood pressure alone doesnt warrant being induced etc. he never once mentioned a c section to me either thankfully (I’m terrified of having to have one). How high has your bp been if you don’t mind me asking? X

Hi ladies 👋🏻 I'm planning an Elective c section in August on my first. I'm wondering when does this usually get booked in? My parents live in Ireland and want to come over when baby is born to help. So it would be good to have an idea of when it will be!

Hardest stage so far

Hi everyone FTM here. I’m feeling very overwhelmed with my LG now being able to crawl. She wants to move and stand and walk but gets frustrated with herself. Seems like she’s cried all day every day for the past week. She’s refusing naps, not really hungry and doesn’t really want to “play”. I am really struggling and feeling like I don’t know what I’m doing all over again.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can find a new routine or get used to this? Maybe some daily activities you do with your babies to occupy them? I feel like I’m fighting for my life until bedtime and it’s making me really sad.

Pink discharge

I just went to the toilet and I had pink discharge on my underwear and as I wiped it was a significant amount of pale spotting. Should I be worried? I'm 10 weeks 3 days and my red folder says to only call the triage if I'm over 18 weeks 😭😭😭

C-section date.

Hi mama’s im currently 34 weeks pregnant and I’ll be having an elective C-section this time around. Does anyone know when i can expect to get a date for the section??

Has anyone been given expected birth weight?

My last scan was 33+6 and my boys were 4lb 13 & 5lb 4 . Now I’m being told they’re expected to be 6.5-7lb at birth depending on which day in the 37 weeks they’re born 🫣 (average for this type of twins is 5.5-6lb)

With my oldest I was told he’d be 10lb + at 40 weeks but we only made it to 38+3 and he was 7lb 13oz so not sure how true that wouldn’t been (although his curve was perfectly inline with his birthweight still doesn’t seem correct to me )

Really interested to see what others have been projected to be and if you think it’ll be correct
