I don’t think I am over reacting but would love to hear opinions, my little girl went nursery today and was put down for a nap just before 11, lunch is served at 11.30, the nursery workers didn’t wake her for lunch and she slept till 1.30, once she woke up she was given cereal and puffs as lunch, I queried this and said it’s not an appropriate lunch and was told they are not allowed to reheat food and there was no bread available for a sandwich or anything else for her to have, but after we collected they uploaded her tea which included bread and butter, so the staff lied about it not being available, am I the only one that thinks this is completely outrageous and if they are not able to provide a adequate meal after the child wakes up they should use their common sense and wake the child for their meal?

Could they tell you why they're not allowed to reheat food? That's the bit that doesn't make sense to me.
Is it the first time she goes to sleep at that time? They could have forgotten to plan an appropriate alternative if out of the routine. And for the sandwich, maybe they meant they had nothing to go inside the sandwich? Just trying to find an explanation, not justifying - I'd be raging if my LO had cereal for lunch with what we pay in fees!
