Any reassuring spotting stories or experiences?

Spotting for 5 days (brown/pink) any positive stories as I’m losing my mind.

I don’t have any advice/stories but have you called the EPU?

Yes they weren’t concerned because the colour was pink/brown and it is only happening when I wipe. They said it was common in early pregnancy but I don’t feel like anyone talks about it enough 😢 I have a scan on Wednesday xx

I had pink/brown spotting, only when wiping, no transfer onto a panty liner for about 2 weeks and my IVF clinic weren't concerned, said it was really common in early pregnancy. Had a scan at 7 weeks to be released from the IVF clinic, and it turned out I had a small subchorionic hematoma. Spotting eventually stopped and then I had some more for 2 days, had a scan at the EPU at 9 weeks and the subchorionic hematoma was gone

Yes I had exactly that at 6w. I’ve had losses so I immediately panicked even though that’s not how my losses started. Anyway, I had a scan and all was fine. Baby was there with a heartbeat. I’m now nearly 10 weeks and all is good. The spotting stopped after 4 days and haven’t had it since.

Early gender reveal 👀

Went to the doctor the other day and it was when I was 13 weeks exactly the ultrasound tech asked if I wanted to know the gender and I was like yeah and in my head I was like I didn’t think we could find out this early. Turns out if it’s a boy there’s a high chance that you can see what it is early on and guess what she’s 95% sure I’m having a boy which there’s always still a chance. It was the umbilical cord and everything but when I go back for week 20, we’ll know for sure.

Confused?

Went to the chemist tonight because I thought I had a UTI. They have said I don’t have a UTI but recommend me taking a pregnancy test. Told them it isn’t possible. It isn’t possible right? My period only ended 7 days ago. We have had sex for the last 9 days but doubt it will even happen that quickly. She just said “mmm no take a test then go to the doctor”. Im worried I might have a kidney infection tbh. Don’t really want to waste money on pregnancy test when I know it probably isn’t possible.

Sick note

This may be a silly question, but how do you ask for a sick note?

I’ve been experiencing debilitating exhaustion. l have low iron, a thyroid disorder and had high levels of sugar in my wee at my last midwife appointment. I’ve been feeling generally unwell, having chest pain, shortness of breath etc etc and frequent diarrhoea, I’m not sure if it’s because I can’t tolerate the iron meds (I have tried Spatone too) or because my thyroid meds possibly need readjusting. My midwife has requested lots of blood tests and also wants be to do a glucose test to rule out gestational diabetes.

How do you request a sick note from the GP? would I have to book a routine appointment or? I have luckily been off this week but the thought of having to go back to work next week is just😩😩 I can barely do anything at the moment without needing to lay down.
